Before Elon was making headlines with SpaceX and electric cars, his father Errol Musk was making headlines for something else — sending armed home invaders to the afterlife with a .357 Magnum.

In 1998, Errol Musk shot and killed three intruders during a violent home invasion at one of his properties near Johannesburg, South Africa.
He wasn’t armed with Twitter. He was armed with grit, a revolver, and the instinct to protect his 6-year-old daughter from what he now claims could’ve been a gruesome fate.
“They fired 52 shots at me,” Musk told VladTV. “I fired two.” One shot struck two men; another took out a third. Musk and his daughter escaped through a shattered window, crawling over blood and bullet holes.

Errol Musk didn’t sugarcoat the moment. “I’m not proud of it,” he said. But he argues that if he hadn’t done what he did, his daughter would be worse off than dead, as the perps were known to use kids’ body parts for medicine.
Yes, you read that right. Musk claims the attackers were part of a brutal muti ritual gang, known in South Africa for using human body parts in witchcraft practices.
Whether or not you buy every detail, there’s no denying this: three armed thugs came for a father and his daughter. They left in body bags.
What did the government do? Show up late, armored up, and inspect the aftermath.
What did the media do? Forget it.
What did Errol Musk do? Defend his family.

Ken you should educate yourself about the real history of South Africa. The Dutch settlers improved the land and made a better life quality for everyone. Errol… if you’re not proud of saving your daughter from a gruesome death, then you should be proud that you saved someone else’s child from the same fate.
Mr Musk did what he had to do to save his family and himself. It’s hard to have to kill someone, no doubt about that, but when it’s necessary, you have to be prepared and do it. There are too many bad people in the world. It’s unfortunate that those reprobates put Mr Musk in the position of having to shoot them, but that’s what they did and he responded appropriately.
Mr. Musk shouldn’t be ashamed of protecting his family. I can understand having to take human life upset him. It would upset anyone with have a conscience. But he saved his life and his family’s. Sleep well at night Mr. Musk, you deserve it sir! This absolutely was NOT your fault.
Remember, weakness and non-violence aren’t examples of virtue. Virtue can only be demonstrated when violence is possible, but peace is chosen instead. By not being weak, Mr. Musk was able to do the right thing when being a pussy just doesn’t work.
