CZ is closing the book on three longtime members of its iconic CZ 75 family.
The company announced that production of the CZ 75 B, CZ 75 BD and CZ 75 Compact will conclude in 2026.
For longtime CZ fans, that is significant news. These pistols helped carry one of the company’s most recognizable designs through multiple generations.
Still, CZ made one point clear: The CZ 75 itself is not going away.

Three Classics Head Into Retirement
The CZ 75 B, CZ 75 BD and CZ 75 Compact have remained fixtures in the company’s handgun catalog for decades.
Shooters have valued the pistols for their all-metal construction, distinctive ergonomics, balance and proven design.
The CZ 75 B carried the platform forward with a traditional manual safety. The CZ 75 BD offered shooters a decocker-equipped alternative. And the CZ 75 Compact packed the same basic design into a smaller format.

CZ did not provide a specific final production date or say how long remaining inventory would be available.
“Few firearms are as closely connected to the identity of CZ as the CZ 75,” said Chris Sprangers, director of marketing for CZ-USA.
Sprangers said the platform introduced generations of shooters to the company’s approach to engineering and handgun design.
“As their production comes to a close, we are proud to honor the role they have played in both our history and the experiences of CZ owners around the world,” he added.
The CZ 75 Family Continues
The announcement does not mark the end of the broader CZ 75 lineup. CZ confirmed that several familiar variants will remain in production, including:
- CZ 75 SP-01
- CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical
- CZ 75 P-01
- CZ 75 D PCR
Those models will continue carrying the CZ 75 name and its design lineage.
The original CZ 75 platform has been part of the company’s identity for more than five decades. Its distinctive slide profile, metal frame and shooting characteristics helped CZ build a worldwide following.
The three outgoing models represent a major chapter in that history.
Their retirement will likely send fans searching dealer shelves for remaining examples. It may also turn existing pistols into increasingly desirable pieces for CZ collectors.
CZ described the change as a transition rather than an ending.
The CZ 75 B, CZ 75 BD and CZ 75 Compact may be leaving production. But the family they helped establish is staying put.
