Chiappa USA is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a commemorative 1911 built for collectors.
The new 1911 Field Special 250th Independence Edition is limited to just 250 pistols nationwide. Each one features a Blue Navy Cerakote finish covered with detailed laser-etched artwork honoring the nation’s semiquincentennial.

Underneath the commemorative treatment is Chiappa’s full-size 1911 Field platform. The steel-framed pistol is chambered in .45 ACP and features a 5-inch barrel, traditional single-action operation and an 8+1 capacity. Grey and black G10 grip panels complete the package.
The pistol measures 8.6 inches long and weighs approximately 2.5 pounds. Other features include slot-mounted iron sights and a traditional left-side thumb safety. Each pistol ships in a molded case with one magazine, a trigger lock and an owner’s manual.

“America’s 250th birthday isn’t a single day on the calendar,” Chiappa USA Marketing Manager Oscar Chiappa said. “It’s a celebration that carries through the entire year.”
Manufactured in Italy, the 250th Independence Edition blends Chiappa’s Old World production with one of America’s most recognizable handgun designs.
This model is a distributor exclusive, so interested buyers will need to check with a local Chiappa dealer. With only 250 being produced, this is probably not one to sit around thinking about for too long. Learn more HERE.
