Some shooters love the idea of carrying a micro-compact pistol. They just don’t love the recoil that often comes with it.

That’s where Taurus hopes its newest handgun fits in.

MSRP: $340.99

The company has officially introduced the GX4 Carry chambered in .380 Auto, giving concealed carriers another option in its popular GX4 lineup.

The new model keeps everything that made the GX4 Carry a hit (including its slim profile, ergonomic grip, optics-ready slide, accessory rail and 15-round magazine capacity) while swapping the 9mm chambering for the softer-shooting .380 Auto cartridge.

For many shooters, that’s the biggest selling point.

Less recoil generally means faster follow-up shots, quicker target reacquisition and more enjoyable range sessions. It can also make the pistol more approachable for newer shooters or anyone with reduced hand strength.

The GX4 Carry .380 includes three interchangeable backstraps to help tailor the grip to different hand sizes, along with an integrated MIL-STD-1913 accessory rail for lights or lasers.

Taurus says the new pistol is aimed at first-time concealed carriers, experienced shooters looking for another everyday carry option, and anyone who simply prefers the .380 Auto cartridge.

The Taurus GX4 Carry .380 Auto is available now through authorized Taurus dealers nationwide.
