James Lindsay first made headlines by punking academia with outrageous fake research. One infamous paper claimed to study “rape culture” in dog parks by observing thousands of canine genitals.
The kicker?
Prestigious academic journals eagerly accepted it. The hoax exposed how deeply the Left’s ideological blinders had corrupted higher education.
But now, Lindsay says there’s a new problem—and it’s coming from the other side.
In a recent interview with John Stossel (see video above), Lindsay warned that the same toxic traits he once found on the radical Left—groupthink, victimhood narratives, historical revisionism, and ideological purity tests—are now showing up on the far Right.
To prove it, he ran a second hoax. This time, he submitted a slightly reworded chunk of The Communist Manifesto to a right-wing magazine. The editors published it and even praised its postmodern insights. When called out, they didn’t retract it—they doubled down.
That, says Lindsay, is the problem. Some in the so-called “New Right” are abandoning classical conservative values like free speech, individual liberty, and capitalism.
Instead, they’ve embraced nationalism, censorship, and religious authoritarianism—ironically becoming the exact caricature the woke Left has always accused conservatives of being.

Stossel’s segment pointed out that this new “woke Right” mirrors the old woke Left in disturbing ways: cancel culture, mob justice, online bullying, even open antisemitism. The fringe has become the face, and it’s giving the Left a lifeline.
Lindsay warned that if this trend continues, it won’t just be bad for conservatism—it’ll usher the Left back into power with a vengeance. And this time, they’ll point to the extremes on the Right as all the justification they need to clamp down on speech, religion, and gun rights.
For gun owners, libertarians, and anyone who believes in real freedom, the message is simple: don’t get comfortable, and don’t trade liberty for tribalism. The fight against authoritarianism doesn’t wear just one jersey.

Exactly what I am decoding myself. The only thing that could prevent this succession of extremes is within everyone’s reach ; self control. It looks like many from each side don’t know what this means. Emotive, one-way reactions has always been the surest path to any kind of war.
No conservative praises Karl Marx. Only left wing, communist Democrats that are masquerading as Republican conservatives will do this. These people are traitors to the country and deserve the harshest treatment reserved for traitors.
Maybe now you fools will realize that our government cares nothing about your rights, or your welfae. It’s about making, and stealing money. There may be a few that actually do, or did care,but they do not last long, or accomplish anything meaningful. Some do try, but it’s just token gestures, allowed by the uniparty stooges to keep us hopeful.Sadly, the time for the 2A to be used as planned is long over, and even with a Republican majority in all the houses, and the SCOTUS, we still can’t get our rights restored. And we never will, and we will do nothing about it anyway. And those that try will find out just how well armed the most minor police forces really are. I will not run from the fight should the sheeple decide to quit bleating, but have no delusions I will survive it. Fortanately for me, I will never have to back that statement up, as the former United States will never call upon me to honor it, will it? My saving grace is that I am too old to really care any more, and smart enough to know I can do nothing on my own. All the tacticool in the world will not restore a Free Constitutional Republic, and that seems to be the only reason most out there care about the 2A. They get to play with toys they saw on Call of Duty!
Apparently, being a trained Marxist pays better than being a faithful patriot. I’m convinced that there is big, big money behind smarter-than-me politicians suddenly betraying reason (and their country) for no apparent reason. I’m pretty sure that there is a blackmail factor involved, too.
Big money can investigate you to the deepest depths of your privacy. If they don’t find some dirt on you, they will keep digging until they find something on a relative. Lately, they have even used our own government for this purpose. Once they are in power, that’s what they do. Stay safe! j

They were NEVER ‘Conservative’ to start with. They pretended to be to build a successful political platform on which to press their true agenda.
The far right, and the looney left have always had more in common with each other than center thinking people. This isn’t new!
