Brady Can’t ‘Erase’ Ties to Creep Eric Swalwell

in News

California Congressman Eric Swalwell is out and the fallout is just getting started.

According to coverage from NewsNation, Swalwell’s resignation was read on the House floor following a wave of allegations, including new claims that surfaced publicly this week. His attorney has denied the accusations and indicated legal action may follow against what they describe as false claims.

Still, the situation escalated quickly.

Commentators noted that in today’s political environment, scandals rarely stay hidden for long, with one panelist pointing out the “arrogance” it takes to believe serious allegations wouldn’t eventually come to light.

Swalwell’s exit comes as scrutiny intensifies. Not just on him, but on the organizations and political allies that previously supported him.

That’s where the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is focusing its attention.

In a sharply worded statement, CCRKBA says the anti-gun group Brady Campaign has attempted to distance itself by removing references to Swalwell from its website and deleting past content tied to his appearances.

But according to CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, that doesn’t change the past.

“By pushing background checks, waiting periods and other extremist gun control measures,” he explained, “Brady makes it clear they consider all gun owners and gun buyers guilty until proven innocent. Instead, maybe they should background check who they work with.”

“The Brady group repeatedly endorsed Swalwell and worked with him, invited him to speak at their New York gala and happily supported his gun ban proposals,” Gottlieb continued, “but quickly abandoned him and tried to make their association disappear. We’re not going to let that happen.

Women speak out about their lurid encounters with Swalwell.

“Maybe the Brady group should change its title to the ‘Brady Campaign to Prevent Sexual Violence,’” Gottlieb suggested, “especially since guns don’t commit violence, people do. They’re essentially shooting him in the back and burying him in an unmarked grave.”

For now, the legal and political implications are still unfolding.

Swalwell’s future remains uncertain, the allegations are being contested, and organizations once closely aligned with him are rapidly creating distance.

“What Swalwell allegedly did was despicable,” Gottlieb observed. “What the Brady Campaign is doing—making his name invisible on their website—is both cowardly and futile. History has recorded their past association, and that’s a stain you cannot wash away.”

For whatever reasons (I know there are many allegedly) the DNC wanted Swalwell out of the Governor race. The demonstrated most effective way is the sexual abuse accusations. Dig up a few women to make claims. True or false the one targeted has their reputation tarnished. There is always front page headlines of the accusations and buried on page two for the truth. The legal process to sort this out is a long one. Long enough to eliminate the threat in this election cycle if it was only accusations.

In a “tweet” Swalwell contemplated using nuclear weapons on 2A rights advocates, pretty sure he knows that a lot of collateral damage would result to the anti 2A communities as well.

Swalwell was on the House Intelligence Committee while being closely involved with a Chinese spy Fang Fang. Swalwell survived that security scandal because he was protected by Nancy Pelosi. Neither of these politicians who care one bit about US National interests. Now Pelosi claims she did NOT know about the many credible sexual assault accusations that have been circulating for many years. Pelosi knew or should have known.

When Joe Biden’s presidency became untenable, it was Pelosi that shut him down. The same thing has now taken place with Swalwell. The power of Pelosi is hard to overestimate and even harder to understand. She is very unimpressive, but she is a threat to every POTUS for some hidden reason. She is on the same committees but seems to have more power than her Dem and Rep rivals.

For many years the murdering crook, LBJ, had amassed the greatest political fortune in our Great Republic turned kleptocracy. Pelosi has surpassed LBJ and no POTUS or SEC will touch her, why?

Mike Johnson has no clout and would never survive these types of scandals. Pelosi must be a deep state asset that the rogue elements of CIA have benefitted from for years, she came from a crime family. Pelosi has to provide something through Democrat power organizations like USAID to support CIA operations around the globe. She has 9 lives and her bizarre husband is also untouchable.

It will be a great day for America when this career politician is gone from the world of power and intrigue.

Nancy Pelosi understands stocks so well that there are ways to make your stock portfolio copy her disclosed buy and sell purchases of stocks as reflected in her personal filings with the SEC. I guess being in Congress so long makes even Democrats dedicated to making the rich pay their fair share, making those Democrats into canny stock traders and building wealth that way. No insider trading there. She’s not betraying the values of voters that made her one of the most powerful people in the country for 20+ years. No, not Nancy Pelosi.

Anyway, Swallwell commited the one sin. He started looking like he was going to be a liability. This is another instance of Democrat on Democrat violence, so obviously this is the fault of scheming Republicans (sarcasmark) just like when Trump and his FCC kept James Tallarico off the Colbert show. Election interference.

Some days, it is easier to be a Democrat than others.

It’s amazing how even apparent Second Amendment supporters (like Mark, below) can be deceived, presumably by watching too much Fake News. Trump is now proven to have been attacked repeatedly with spurious claims and vicious entrapments, non-stop since 2015. So one would have to be extremely gullible to truly believe that Trump just randomly abused (or raped) that woman who he said he never met, and who was clearly not “his type,” in some department store. Give us a break…

    • Mark April 17, 2026, 12:01 pm

What is amazing is that many second amendment supporters believe that all second amendment supporter’s have to believe that a lying piece of crap felon like trump deserves any respect. I can guarantee you that is not the case.

errrrr……..just checked and this article is about swalwell and the brady campaign so why are you trying to deflect the blame to trump citing bullshit kangaroo court rulings!

These women are now Democrat Party campaign strategists.
Someone in the party issued a hit on Swalwell. Otherwise, these women would have continued to say nothing about him, as they did for the past 5-6 years.

Amazing how people forget about trump who is a convicted sexual abuser.

    • Helodriver April 17, 2026, 7:44 am

Amazing how people with so little understanding speak with conviction. It was a civil finding, not a conviction. It was brought in a jurisdiction which would have found against Trump for any accusation put in front of them. And if you review just a little of the testimony even you would wonder if this was a “trumped up” case. There is much to criticize about the President but this civil suit was horseshit from day one.

In 2023, a federal jury in New York found Trump liable for the sexual abuse and defamation of writer E. Jean Carroll, awarding her $5 million in damages. The presiding judge later clarified that the jury’s finding of sexual abuse met the common definition of rape.

        • Kane April 17, 2026, 9:28 am

Carroll cannot provide a specific date of the alleged rape, which is weakens the accusation. Hard to believe that there would be no DNA on the dress that Carroll was wearing and presented as evidence of the rape. Unlike Monica Lewinski, who presented a blue dress with a stain that was very hard for WJC to explain, Carroll had no contact DNA that traced to Trump. The other problem with the Donna Karan dress Carroll presented, it was NOT manufactured until after the range of dates that the supposed rape took place, so, there is also a timeline problem. Carroll also claimed she fought Trump off with a clothes hanger but did NOT contact Police to establish a report. There were no eyewitnesses that could lend support to Carroll and no video evidence. The strongest evidence to support Carroll was the hearsay of two friends that claimed Carroll told them of the rape at the time.

The Carroll case has problems, and the other posters assessment was pretty well founded. I’m not sure whether the appeals have run out on both of the judgements Carroll has been awarded but the NY Courts have lost a lot of credibility in the process.

The only thing you offer is opinions and what you deem to be possibilities. trump, a convicted felon, will probably be found guilty on pedophilia charges too, once he is out of office.

        • Kane April 17, 2026, 10:11 am

I provided case facts. Do you think juries and judges base their verdicts on an unflawed process? If you like the Carroll case, then that’s your choice but she is NOT a case of “how people forget.”

      @ Mark Peden,
There always has to be one “seminar caller” as the late, great Rush Limbaugh coined. There is no way in hell that you are a gun-owner and if you are, you don’t deserve to be.
Take your TDS and shove it, bozo!
