Wendt and an accomplice, 46-year-old Robert Williams owned several firearm stores. According to AP News, the two sold the machine guns at these stores “for almost $80,000 personal profit.”

Two suspects broke into the Monroe County home just after midnight. News outlets report that two residents were in the home at the time. 

Two groups made up of young adults and teens met up in Buda, Texas in early August. The groups intended to fight each other in a gang-style fistfight. 

A grateful father credits his son with saving his life that day. “Owen was a hero.” What made him a hero? He acted quickly and shot a large black bear when it attacked his father on a hunting trip. 

The homeowner, a middle-aged man, called police to report a man in his front yard. Police reported that the homeowner described the stranger as having “erratic behavior.”

“I just went into action and when I actually saw the guy, he was still hanging on her window,” the mother continued. She said she told the man she had a gun and would shoot him.

According to the homeowner, he woke up when his dogs were barking. It was early in the morning, the Saturday before Labor Day.  He said his dogs did not usually bark during the night.

“It was quick. I woke up, and there was this giant standing in my bedroom,” he told KOMO. The homeowner said he began grabbing things from his nightstand to throw at the intruder.
