Larry Vickers of Vickers Tactical, Wilson Combat, Springfield Armory and Lipsey’s just announced the Vickers Tactical Master Class 1911, a full-size pistol chambered for .45 ACP.

“We are extremely proud to have partnered with respected firearms expert and combat veteran Larry Vickers of Vickers Tactical on this exciting new pistol,” said Springfield CEO Dennis Reese. “This pistol, which combines Vickers’ tactical expertise with Springfield Armory’s renowned manufacturing skills, delivers a top-tier 1911 for the most serious of applications.”

“I’m pleased with the Vickers Tactical Master Class 1911 and how a real team effort brought it together,” said Larry Vickers. “Springfield Armory, Lipsey’s, Wilson Combat and I got to work to bring a superb quality pistol to the market at a great price point. I’m proud to be a part of it.”

The Master Class is built on forged components and outfitted with a lot of premium Wilson Combat and Vickers Tactical features. It has machined-tool steel parts, including the sear and a machined extractor.

It comes with a Wilson Combat extended thumb safety, a Wilson tool steel commander-style hammer and a solid medium trigger. The slide has a ball scallop pattern for slide serrations at the rear and is engraved with the Vickers Tactical name and logo.

The frame and mainspring housing feature a unique diamond pattern checkering for extra traction. The grips are custom machined MIL-TAC G10 grips with the Vickers Tactical logo.

The sights are Wilson Combat, Vickers Duty U-notch sights in the rear, and up front is an orange Pro Glo tritium night sight. Inside is a 5-inch match-grade stainless steel barrel and matching stainless bushing.

The Vickers Tactical Master Class is a semi-custom 1911 with a production price tag. While it’s not inexpensive with a suggested retail price of $1,495 — and of course lower prices in stores and online — it’s very competitive given the solid features and impressive pedigree.

Each pistol has a unique Vickers Tactical serial number and comes with two Wilson Combat 8-round Vickers Duty magazines. At just over 41 ounces unloaded, this will be a great shooter even for long days at the range and extended shooting matches.

This will be a Lipsey’s exclusive so if you’re interested in these Master Class pistols check out a Lipsey’s dealer near you or right here on GunsAmerica.com. For more about these and other Springfield 1911s head over to the Springfield Armory website.

Seems like a lot of gun for the price point. Of course everyone will want it in their preferred caliber besides 45.
