The ability to hunt with a handgun outside of the US, is not widespread.

This sounds like common sense, but if you’re new to handguns, you might be surprised at how many calibers have similar names and types.

The mild-kicking and flat-shooting 6.5 Creedmoor is one of those newer rounds that beat the odds to become a prolific contender for hunters, target shooters, and even in specialized military applications, and, in some cases, displacing those older rounds.

My first experience with hardcast handgun bullets on medium game left me disappointed. I double-lunged a pronghorn with a .512 caliber 465gr. WFN bullet and had to shoot it three more times.

Revolvers built for self-defense are chambered in a wide variety of calibers. From mousey 22 LR and 22 Magnum rimfire (pass on these puny calibers) and oddball calibers like 327 Federal Magnum on up to the old standbys, 38 Special, and 357 Magnum.

Why would you want a concealed carry revolver chambered in 327 Federal Magnum when there are plenty of EDC revolvers chambered in the old standbys, 38 Special and 357 Magnum?

I have rifles chambered in both 6.5 and 6mm Creedmoor (CM) but the 22 CM has captured my attention. I first heard of it from a friend that said the 22 CM came in the top 3 in a first-round hit capability study he had read.
