At Shot Show Range Day 2024, we caught up with Dan from Franklin Armory, who showcased their newest binary trigger designed specifically for the Stribog SP9, the BFSIII SP-S1. This trigger caters to both the A1 and A3 Stribog models, which includes the A3G that takes Glock magazines. At the range, we got to shoot the Stribog SP9A3 which was equipped with the BFSIII SP-S1 trigger. Even though it was rainy, we still enjoyed the experience!

Franklin Armory is known for producing binary triggers for various rifles, including the MP5, AK, HK, ARs, B&Ts, Ruger PCC, and even the Ruger 10/22. And this does even cover the numerous binary Glock conversion systems that they now sell. As you can see, Franklin Armory’s Binary Triggers are extremely versatile and cover multiple firearm models which makes them an appealing and cost-effective binary trigger option.
To address recent concerns about triggers that mimic full-auto fire and potential ATF scrutiny, Franklin Armory’s binary trigger is ATF-classified as a traditional semi-automatic trigger. Unlike other options that rely only on legal interpretations and the fickle whims of the ATF. It operates on a one-function, one-fire basis, providing a distinct and controlled firing experience without accelerating the rate of fire of your firearm.

To put it to the test, we shot the binary trigger on the Stribog SP9. Check out the video to see how it worked! Oh, and if you were interested, the BFSIII SP-S1 binary trigger will be available this month and will be found with an MSRP of $499.99 USD.

“Unlike other options that rely only on legal interpretations”? Here’s a news flash sir. ATF’s opinion of every rate-enhancing trigger relies on their whimsical interpretation of the legal definition of a machinegun. The “forced-reset” trigger debacle is ridiculous, since all triggers reset by force. Rare Breeds trigger is strictly semiautomatic also. The only difference with binaries is that ATF hasn’t been ordered to change their mind by the administration,… yet. And by the way, Franklin’s products are fantastic.
