Springfield upgrades their SAINT AR Pistol to the new premier SAINT EDGE Series lineup. The improved SAINT EDGE Pistol weighs 5.75 pounds and is only 24.6 inches long. At the same time, they loaded it up with features that are not available anywhere else at this price and make this gun a pleasure to shoot.
The Saint Edge Pistol shaves weight with lightening cuts in a milled billet aluminum lower, a 10.3” Lightweight Profile melonite treated barrel and proprietary M-Lok handguard with hand-stop and flip up sites. Springfield uses an adjustable gas block that is pinned to the barrel and controls the gas bleed off, so the Edge can be matched to the ammunition. The flip up rear site has a dual aperture and is adjustable for windage.
Springfield’s Accutite ™ System takes out the play between the upper and lower making the pistol feel exceptionally solid. The oversized trigger guard makes it easier to shoot with gloves and the Maxim Defense brace is compact, and sturdy even when extended. The Bravo Company pistol grip fits at a natural angle to the trigger and has just the right texture making it comfortable to shoot with or without gloves.
The Saint Edge Pistol has a match grade single stage, short reset trigger that is also proprietary to Springfield Armory. The ambidextrous safety and mag release along with an oversized charging handle make this gun easy to operate for left- and right-hand shooting. The “scalloped” mag well makes reloads faster and easier. The compact size and weight put the Saint Edge Pistol into an area between a rifle and a full-size pistol, opening up lots of applications where more than a pistol is desired but a rifle is too cumbersome.
The Saint Edge Pistol retails for $1,559; you can usually find them on GunsAmerica for less.

I agree this aint’t no pistol but a carbine it is. Think I’m going to start calling my rifles field artillery pieces just because I say I can.

I don’t really care if it is “technically” called a pistol, but that thing ain’t no pistol. It would normally be a carbine, but people have forgotten how to name things in this day of idiotic gun laws. It is a nice carbine though.
