A homeowner in San Bernardino County, California, fatally shot one burglar and injured another after multiple intruders broke into his home last week.

The homeowner called 911 at 9:18 pm, reporting three men allegedly breaking into his home. He feared for his life and that of his family and armed himself with a firearm.

San Bernardino Homeowner Shoots

The San Bernardino County homeowner shot at the burglars, hitting two, before they fled. The burglars left the scene in a white sedan.

Later that night, police found two of the burglary suspects at a gas station, according to CBS. A different call reporting a man with a gunshot wound brought them there.

A 15-year-old boy accompanied one of the men who the homeowner shot.

Police took both suspects to the hospital, and doctors pronounced the injured man dead, Fox11 reports.

Suspects Found

Less than an hour later, another hospital reported a gunshot victim, later identified as the third suspect, 27-year-old Marquez Jackson.

Jackson was treated for his gunshot wound before being taken into custody.

Jackson and the 15-year-old were charged with burglary and murder under California’s felony murder rule, which holds accomplices responsible for deaths that occur during the commission of a crime.

Jackson also faces charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Homeowner Acted In Self-Defense

The San Bernardino County homeowner has not been charged for the shooting. Police say the man acted in fear for his life.

“This has been a difficult and truly terrifying experience for our family,” the homeowner said, according to KTLA 5.

Police have identified a possible fourth suspect involved in the break-in and are actively seeking information.

“Home is where we should all feel the safest,” the homeowner’s family said in a statement, “and having that sense of security shattered when we least expected it is something no family should have to experience.”

I’m surprised the Republic of Kalifornistan DA didn’t bring murder charges against the home-owner for defending themselves since it seems Kalifornistan cares more about criminals than citizens. It’s a damn shame the owner didn’t take out all three. And yes, including the 15 year old thug in training. Hopefully the little turd learned a lesson from this and realizes crime doesn’t pay.

“The San Bernardino County homeowner has not been charged for the shooting” Wow! No charges in CA? CA just loves to give the innocent a high and hard horse screwing. Wonders never cease.

The tree of self-defense must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of fools and criminals.
