Ruger is gearing up to mark its 75th anniversary in 2024, and part of the celebration includes launching special edition firearms.
The highlight is the Diamond Anniversary Limited Edition SR1911 Pistol, a nod to Ruger’s longstanding presence in the American firearms market.
The Ruger SR1911, which first appeared in 2011 to mark the 100th anniversary of the Government Model 1911, has since made a name for itself as a solid American-made 1911-type pistol.
The limited edition version features a laser-engraved slide commemorating Ruger’s 75 years in the industry, paired with custom grip panels that sport matching scrollwork.
Each pistol is packaged in a unique 75th Anniversary case, along with a 7-round and an 8-round stainless steel magazine.

The SR1911 is more than just a looker. It comes equipped with practical features like a titanium firing pin, extended thumb safety, a large beavertail grip safety, and a visual inspection port for easy chamber checks. The plunger tube is integrated into the frame for added durability.
With only 750 of these Anniversary SR1911s available, each with a distinctive “R75” serial number, collectors and enthusiasts might want to check in with local firearms retailers soon.
On the technical side, the pistol sports a 5″ barrel, a low-glare stainless finish, Novak 3-Dot sights, and weighs 39 oz. It features a full-size frame with custom engraved hardwood grips and maintains the classic 1911 control layout.
The precision CNC machining ensures a smooth operation and tight slide-to-frame fit. Priced at $1799.00, this model is a nod to Ruger’s history and commitment to firearm manufacturing. Learn more HERE.
