If you’re looking for a compact .300 Blackout rifle built with suppressors in mind, Primary Weapons Systems has a new option headed your way.
The Idaho-based manufacturer has officially unveiled the MK107 MOD 2-M, a 7.75-inch .300 Blackout Personal Defense Weapon (PDW). It combines the company’s long-stroke piston operating system with a compact package weighing just 5.2 pounds.

Like other PWS rifles, the new gun ditches the traditional direct impingement system in favor of the company’s AK-inspired long-stroke piston design. The idea is simple. Keep more heat and carbon out of the action, especially during high round counts or suppressed shooting.
One of the biggest selling points is its suppressor-ready setup. The MK107 uses a three-position adjustable gas regulator. It lets shooters tune the rifle for suppressed or unsuppressed use as well as different ammunition loads.

The 7.75-inch 416 stainless barrel features a 1:5 twist rate. Making it well suited for both subsonic and supersonic .300 Blackout loads. Standard 5/8×24 threads mean owners won’t have trouble finding compatible muzzle devices or suppressors.
PWS also loaded the rifle with premium controls right from the factory. That includes a Radian Raptor charging handle. A Radian Talon ambidextrous safety. And an ambidextrous lower receiver with integrated bolt and magazine release controls.
The company’s proprietary Pic-LOK handguard combines M-LOK slots with integrated Picatinny sections, giving shooters plenty of mounting options without adding unnecessary bulk.
To keep the rifle as compact as possible, PWS paired it with the Q LLC Shorty Stock and Buffer System, helping shrink the overall footprint while maintaining shootability.
Visually, the rifle stands out thanks to its OD Green Cerakote finish, giving it a different look than the sea of black ARs on today’s market.

The rifle also ships with PWS’s FRC 2-Port Compensator, designed to reduce recoil while remaining compatible with the company’s suppressor mounting system.
The PWS MK107 MOD 2-M is aimed squarely at shooters wanting a compact defensive rifle, truck gun, range toy or suppressor host without sacrificing reliability.
Primary Weapons Systems has not yet announced pricing, but says more information is available through its website.
