New York AG Launches Sting Operation… Against Toy Guns

Just when you think New York couldn’t get any more anti-gun, they go full clown show—this time targeting Walmart for selling toy guns. Not real guns. Not even airsoft guns with metal internals. We’re talking about plastic toys.

According to a press release from Attorney General Letitia James’ office, a “sting” operation led to Walmart getting slapped with $16,000 in penalties and fees. Why? Because third-party sellers on Walmart’s website shipped nine toy guns to addresses in New York. That’s right—nine.

What were the crimes? The toy guns looked too real. As in, they were black or silver instead of neon green or see-through. That violates New York’s ban on selling imitation firearms that aren’t brightly colored or transparent.

James claims these toys “can be used to engage in unlawful activity” and have been linked to tragic incidents. And while there’s no doubt that tragic things happen when toy guns are mistaken for the real thing, you’d think New York might focus on, say, actual violent crime?

Instead, their top law enforcement agency is spending taxpayer dollars trying to entrap big-box retailers over $20 toys.

Let’s be honest—this isn’t about safety. It’s about control and optics. NYC has a crime problem, a recidivism problem, and a public safety credibility problem. But sure, let’s put the AG’s crack team of data scientists and complex litigation lawyers on… TOY GUNS.

And for what? A $14,000 fine? That’s couch cushion money to Walmart. But the message is loud and clear: in New York, it’s not just the Second Amendment under attack—it’s common sense itself.

This is what happens when a state turns fear into policy. When plastic toys trigger a government sting, we’re well past the point of parody.

Meanwhile, lawful gun owners still face insane hurdles to carry a real firearm for actual protection. But hey—at least the toy gun task force is on the job.

FIF, I agree with you. I guess we start when they come forearm of us individually. It sounds like you are an old dude like me. We should have been killing commies in this country instead of the ones in Vietnam. What hurts more than the several gifts from agent orange is the fact that, in the end, it looks like they will win. But then, Evil always wins in the end because there is nothing evil that they won’t do. They are not encumbered by the stupid religious beliefs and artificial moral codes the “good” people are brainwashed with from early childhood. The only way for us to win is to be as ruthless as they are…. but our programming by parents and the organizations that are used by evil in the name of some superstition is not easily overcome. All we can hope for is the vengeance we can wreak as we die individually at their hands. Organizations are always infiltrared by the alphabets so organizing is out as a solution. We are born alone and we will die alone.

We all know Leticia James is batshit crazy so this isn’t surprising. What is disappointing is the fact that their is a significant amount of people in New York stupid enough to vote the way they do for the morons they keep putting office to oppress them!

Don’t care if your gun is neon green, blaze orange or clear. My response if you point it towards me is going to be the same. I’m not waiting for a paint sample.

Seen too many Toy Guns that look to Realistic NOT sci fic toy BUT mimic Real guns in look
    Very scary
Great for training shooters BUT NOT Real Life use
    Seed for needless shootings
Need ID markers to denote NON LIVE Fire gun

All airsoft “replicas” must have an orange fixture on the end of the barrel. All it takes to get the real feel is a can of black spray paint. Regardless, anyone with a few tools can create a lookalike weapon sufficient to use in robberies. A really inventive tinkerer can make a gun out of some plumbing parts and common hardware.
Bottom line: if it looks like a gun and doesn’t have an orange fixture, it’s considered a live weapon and will be treated accordingly by law enforcement. In that case, you can expect to be shot for waving a non gun around.

This is solely the fault of new york’s liberal voters. You get the government you deserve.

All Democrats are either stupid or evil…… or both! Since they feel the constitution is bullsh1t, maybe it is time for us to agree and remove all their rights…… constitutional or otherwise. I, like many other vets and patriots, have taken an oath to protect the constitution and our country from enemies foreign and domestic……. well, guess who the domestic enemies are. Now, how would we deal with domestic enemies? With at least the vigor we dealt with foreign enemies? The domestic enemy is worse than foreign enemies as they are also traitors. We will cease to exist if action against these domestic (Democrat) enemies is not taken. I thought a Trump administration would be the answer…… now I’m not so sure. Heil Hochul…. that facist pig.

So; When do we start? Got a plan? Nope. Neither does anyone else. WHY???????????? because no matter who is running the show, the 2A is no longer a viable option, and organizing to do it will get the alphabet soups kicking your door in and killing you, your dog, your wife, and your kids.. The kings new clothes are all we have. We THINK we have rights. WE don’t.Anyone that thinks we do is a fool. Don’t get me wrong. I live for the day America remembers why it’s here in the first place, but I am an old man, with a dream of a once again, Free America. Will I fight? Hell yes. As best as I can, with the ferocity of a Wolverine. But will I be the one to start it. Deffinitely not.

BTW: Trump is a business man. Not a warrior. HE will not fix this.

This is so ridiculous. Spend the money on the root of the crime problems not silly toys. When was the last time a toy acctually killed a partially vs a real firearm. Dont do something, just to say you did something. You will change nothing but deplete your buget

Hey why not – after all the bats got a conviction against a sailor for having replica (inert) guns so why wouldn’t the ‘authorities’ in noo yawk make a case/example of the world’s largest retailer. Hmm, ‘maybe’ if they concentrated on real criminals instead there wouldn’t be CEOs assassinated on the streets, who knows.
