Langdon Tactical Technology is bringing its signature trigger work to a new double-action/single-action platform. The newly released LTT Steyr ATD Compact combines Steyr’s modern pistol design with LTT’s internal refinements and customization options.
Steyr built the ATD around a modular trigger system, redesigned controls and an optics-ready slide. It also includes an updated decocker, removable magwell and a 4-inch barrel.
LTT takes that foundation and focuses heavily on the trigger.

The Langdon Treatment
LTT gunsmiths polish key internal components while reducing trigger weight, overtravel and reset. The resulting trigger should offer a smoother and more consistent pull than the factory configuration.
Approximate trigger weights come in at 7.5 to 8.5 pounds in double action. Single-action pull weight falls between 3.75 and 4.25 pounds. Buyers can select either a flat or curved Match Trigger.
The pistol weighs 27.5 ounces and comes with six optic plates. Those plates support Noblex/Doctor, Trijicon RMR, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, C-More RTS2, Holosun K/RMSc and Meopta footprints. Buyers can also choose factory sights or taller Steyr backup sights designed to co-witness with a red dot.
Standard or Ported
Langdon Tactical offers two configurations.
The standard LTT Steyr ATD Compact includes the complete trigger treatment and the buyer’s choice of trigger shoe. The LTT Steyr ATD Compact Comp adds Steyr’s factory barrel and slide porting.
Both pistols are chambered in 9mm and use an optics-ready slide. Each package includes two 18-round magazines and one 20-round magazine where permitted. Buyers also receive two additional hammer springs, an extra recoil spring, the removable magwell and all six optic plates.

That is a substantial accessory package, particularly for shooters who plan to experiment with trigger weights or different optics.
“The ATD caught our attention because Steyr wasn’t simply updating an existing pistol,” LTT CEO Ernest Langdon said. “They approached the DA/SA platform with a fresh perspective.”
Pricing and Availability
The standard LTT Steyr ATD Compact starts at $1,279. The factory-ported Compact Comp starts at $1,410. Adding Steyr’s taller backup sights raises the price to $1,349 or $1,480, respectively.
Both configurations are available now through the Langdon Tactical website. Current lead time is listed at three to five business days.
For shooters who still appreciate a traditional double-action first pull but want modern optics support and competition-inspired tuning, the LTT Steyr ATD Compact offers an interesting new option.
