World champion shooter, author, and U.S. Army veteran Julie Golob is now officially part of the Springfield family as a professional shooter and brand ambassador — and she’s bringing decades of skill, competition wins, and leadership to the role.
Golob’s resume is nothing short of legendary. A former member of the elite U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, she’s racked up more than 170 championship titles across seven different shooting disciplines.
From the Bianchi Cup to Steel Challenge, USPSA, IDPA, and IPSC, she’s dominated at every level — even earning the title of U.S. Army Female Athlete of the Year. She’s also the first and only USPSA Ladies National Champion in all seven divisions.
Beyond her competition wins, Golob is a powerhouse advocate for firearm safety, conservation, and shooting sports. She’s taught and inspired countless shooters as an instructor, consultant, and speaker, and her published works — including a beginner’s guide to the shooting sports and a children’s book on firearm safety — have helped bring new voices into the 2A community.

Now, she’s joining forces with another Springfield legend, pro shooter Rob Leatham, to represent the brand on the range, in the field, and online. Her role will include professional competition, content creation, and even helping shape Springfield’s future product development.
