The XD-E 3.3" Single Stack .45 ACP features a 3.3" hammer-forged steel barrel with a Melonite® finish and a forged steel slide finished in Melonite®. The Low Effort Slide reduces locking force compared to comparable striker-fired pistols and the DA/SA trigger provides a long first-shot double-action pull with a shorter single-action follow-up. The pistol includes a loaded chamber indicator and 1911-style grip angle for point-and-shoot ergonomics.
The frame is a black polymer construction with enhanced grip texture and an ambidextrous thumb safety/decocker. Sights are a fiber optic front and dovetail white-dot rear. The recoil system uses a dual captive recoil spring with a full-length guide rod. Magazines supplied are one 6-round (flush) and one 7-round (extended); weight is 25.6 oz with the flush mag and 26.4 oz with the extended mag, with an overall length of 6.75" and a height of 5" (flush) / 5.25" (extended).
