The HK416 A5 is a short-stroke gas piston, magazine-fed rifle built on the common M4/M16/AR-15 style platform. It features ambidextrous controls (safety, bolt release, magazine release), an adjustable gas regulator for suppressed or unsuppressed operation, and a slimline, multi-position telescoping stock. The A5 uses a cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and a lightweight M-LOK handguard with a continuous top Picatinny rail.
