Why isn’t Hunter Biden in jail?
It’s a very legitimate question.
We know for a fact that he was addicted to crack cocaine. Hunter’s admitted as much publicly. Heck, even his father has acknowledged Hunter’s checkered past.
“This [Hunter] is a kid who got – not a kid, he’s a grown man – he got hooked on, like many families have had [sic] happen, hooked on drugs…” said president Joe Biden last year.
And if their admissions aren’t believable enough, there’s video evidence of Hunter weighing his, what appear to be, crack rocks:
One could argue that using hard drugs is a victimless crime. And that alone shouldn’t land someone behind bars, even though federal guidelines trigger a five-year mandatory minimum sentence for possession of one ounce of crack.
Fine, if that’s what you believe.
But Hunter’s criminal history doesn’t stop with smoking crack. While he was getting high in 2018, he also bought a .38-caliber revolver from a Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) in Delaware.
While meeting with the dealer, Hunter filled out a form 4473, which clearly asks the purchaser whether he or she is “an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?”

Hunter answered “no” on the form. In other words, he lied on a federal form. Again, we know this because both Hunter and President Biden have openly admitted it.
“This thing about a gun – I didn’t know anything about it. But turns out that when he made application [sic] to purchase a gun, what happened was he – I guess you get asked – I don’t guess, you get asked a question, are you on drugs, or do use drugs?’ He said no. And he wrote about saying no in his book,” president Biden explained in Oct. of 2022.
This brings us to the Twitter clip embedded at the top of the article where Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI) asks Rob Wilcox, Senior Director of Policy for Everytown for Gun Safety, the question we all want an answer to: Why isn’t Hunter Biden in jail?
“If a person lies on ATF Form 4473 and is a user of unlawful drugs, you can get between five and 10 years for that. Is that correct? Is that your understanding?,” Tiffany asked Wilcox toward the beginning of the exchange, during last week’s House subcommittee hearing titled, “ATF’s Assault on the Second Amendment: When is Enough Enough?”
Wilcox responded by saying the law has been updated and offenders now face up to 15 years in prison.
“Why hasn’t Hunter Biden been prosecuted for the crime that he committed?” Tiffany retorted.
“I’m not aware of the facts of that case and can’t comment on it,” Wilcox said.

“Who do we talk to to see why this case is not being prosecuted? He said very clearly in his book that he used drugs,” Tiffany continued.
A Democrat at the hearing then interjected, arguing Rep. Tiffany’s question was “totally irrelevant.”
Tiffany then posited the following, “I understand why you do not want Mr. Wilcox to answer that question. Because there’s a dual system of justice in America. That’s what’s going on right now. And everybody’s talking about it across America. There’s two standards of justice that are going on.”

The plain fact is Hunter Biden should be in jail. We all know this. And by “we,” I mean everybody knows this — including Hunter and President Biden. The reason Hunter won’t spend one day behind bars is, well, it’s obvious. The Biden family is above the law.
Actually, it’s much worse than that. The Biden family wants to be praised for its criminality, not punished for it. In other words, don’t prosecute the crackhead for buying a firearm in violation of federal law. Be proud of him!

Why idn’t Trump? Give me a break. Thousands of people are arrested on drug charges and oen guns and NOBODY is prosecuted for lying on the background check form. Why is that? Because they would have to prove at the time the form was filled out that the person was CURRENTLY a drug user or addict.

I think that is part of the problem. Why do we need more gun control laws if we don’t enforce the laws we already have? It’s the “we have to do something” mentality without considering if the proposed law will actually have an impact on crime.

It goes without a lot of further comments on this exact case, same thing everywhere. To the defense of President Biden, as a father he feels probably very guilty to realize his son has been raised without him and both are now facing the consequences. Thus Mr President inapropriately used his statute to give himself the impression he is correcting his own mistakes as a father ; statute most of us have not.
A few more things about our government system and why we should lower our expectations regarding how things are going or should go “up there”. The way the “political machine” works (probably anywhere in the world) only one kind of person have a chance to climb at the top : very wealthy people. As long as it will be the case (it has always been), we can’t expect most of our “elected” reprensentatives to be … well … real representatives of the population. It is not far from the cliché “coming from another planet”. We elect people that don’t live in the same world as most to govern and regulate the world of most … nice recipe for failure. Everything has to come down to a smaller scale, almost everything is too big today to be managed properly. Same thing in our personnal life, let’s concentrate on what surrounds us, using the most common sense we can to stay away from any legal system.
If there is anybody that is locked up for the crime of lying on a 4473, they should be hiring a lawyer and fighting it. If it’s not a big deal for a drug addled, upper crust, politician’s son to lie on a 4473, it shouldn’t be a big deal for anybody else either.
