On November 4th, a Los Angeles father defended his wife and 5-month-old baby from home intruders and California has now revoked his concealed carry permit for it.

Back Track

Two armed men attacked Vince Ricci, recently identified as the father, as he arrived home, attempting to enter his residence

Ricci had immediately drawn his own firearm and defended himself and his family. Ricci chased the two men away.

Police have descriptions for both intruders, whose identities they have not yet publicly announced.

They left the property in a dark-colored Sedan.

Revoked Permit

In the aftermath, Ricci informed the public that the LAPD revoked his concealed carry permit.

“After successfully defending my home and family and my five-month-old child,” Ricci said, “California has now decided to end my Second Amendment rights.”

According to the Daily Mail, the police had done a lousy job of collecting evidence. When Ricci found several bullet casings outside his home the police had missed, they got an earful from him.

Ricci said he yelled at the LAPD for “sloppy police work.”

While the LAPD did not publicly say why the concealed carry permit was removed, they did tell KTLA more or less that the state of California has guidelines for these permits.

KTLA reports that the permit must be revoked if evidence exists against the licensee.

Will Authorities Reinstate Ricci’s Permit?

The Sheriff’s Department informed KTLA that they could reinstate Ricci’s permit if they find no incriminating evidence.

According to the statement, “The DOJ has been notified and there are avenues for Mr. Ricci to re-apply for his permit.”

Ricci hopes that the process goes smoothly because according to The Daily Mail it took him months to get the permit.

‘This Stuff Happens All the Time’

“My situation is unique because it happened at my front door, all on camera,” Ricci said. “But this happens time and time again all over the country.”

“The fact is, evil will always exist.” Ricci said.

His story has resonated widely on the internet, with many expressing support for him.

Congressman Troy E Nehls shared the story on X, saying, “Mr. Ricci, I recommend finding a real estate agent in the great state of Texas, where we value the Second Amendment.”

Sounds like a good idea, Mr. Nehls.

I can only hope this guy got his permit back. A follow up story would be nice.

It looks bad because it appears the perps were retreating and that means they are no longer a threat, right? WRONG!! Retreat is a tactic. It is not a surrender! This hero did his duty to protect himself and his family. Stay safe. j

On another site someone said Ricci is involved with the legal Marijuana trade. With the number of robberies, shootings, etc. in and around dispensaries. he likely needs to be armed. After reading that I was reminded of the legal pot shop owner that was kidnapped and tortured and had his private cut off, because it was believed he had a hidden stash of one million dollars.

The CA CCW now has so many requirements, restrictions, and costs that it is — for all practical purposes — useless.

I believe the statement from Mr Congressman is a very good advice. The very best advice I heard on all this kind of stuff is ” Stay away from the legal system as much as you can”. It could mean many things and every case is different but “don’t call the police if you don’t have to” is certainly one of the meanings that could be applied here.

Obviously the two young social activists we’re collecting donations for Governor Nuisance Presidential Campaign committee and were misunderstood by Mr. Ricci . No doubt a fast hefty donation ti the Dimocrats would get his CCL reinstated. Mr. Ricci does need to invest in marksmanship classes because if a weapon is brandished there needs to be something to show for it.

should have told the cops that he was trying to rob the attackers then he would still have his permit.
