Springfield Armory is proud to announce the launch of the SA-16A2 5.56mm, inspired by the M16A2 rifle — one of the most capable and iconic firearms in history.

These all-black variants are offered in 4.25” and 5” barrel lengths, and chambered in either 9mm or .45 ACP.

The mysterious SA-16A2, dubbed the “Easter egg gun of the booth,” apparently caused quite a stir.

“The TRP has long been one of the most respected 1911 pistols not only in the Springfield line but also in the broader 1911 community,” said Steve Kramer, Vice President of Marketing for Springfield Armory.
