BY Jon Hodoway Published: June 27, 2017 { 28 comments }The AC-556 was based off the Mini-14. Ruger, Sturm& Co. introduced the Mini-14 in 1973, borrowing many of its design elements from both the M1 and the M14. Bill Ruger was interested in law enforcement and military sales, and to that end he released the GB (government bayonet) model. The GB offered a plethora of unique options.

An Everyman’s AR? The Ruger AR-556 – Full Review.
BY Justin Opinion Published: March 3, 2017 { 33 comments }When it comes to rifles in the U.S., none has ever been more popular than the AR-15. I personally think that one of the reasons for the mind-numbing popularity of the AR-15 is because the platform has a military-proven pedigree, can be had at a reasonable price, and is ear-to-ear-smile fun all day long. It makes perfect sense then, that Ruger would make it a point to market an AR rifle for everyday Americans – because providing quality affordable guns to mainstream America is what Ruger does. And it did it with the AR-556.

Not the most accurate weapon once it heats up, but worth a look.

Salvage Your Ruger 10/22 Mags for Under $10
BY Bruce Flemings Published: November 2, 2016 { 4 comments }The TandemKross 10/22 Magazine Take Down Tool makes it possible to detail strip, deep clean, and properly reassemble Ruger 10/22 magazines with the factory specified 1¼ turns of rotor spring tension required for proper function. And it does this for just $9.99.
I’d heard the positive feedback from others about this tool kit. The only thing left to do was order one for myself and see if it was really as easy to use as others described. I certainly had enough dirty magazines to try it out on.
