While many have tried combining the two designs in a variety of ways to combine the appealing handling characteristics of the AR and the rugged reliability of the AK, Stag Arms has taken a bit of a different tack with its new 7.62x39mm AR.

Shown in prototype form, the semi-automatic Wilkinson Tactical CR-12 on display caught my eye as I was walking down the aisles of the of the 2016 NRA Annual Meeting.

St. George Arms will be showcasing their award-winning Leader 50 A1 semi-automatic bullpup sniper rifle chambered for .50 BMG at this year’s NRA Annual Meeting.

Now Ruger is updating their relatively-new design with the Enhanced Ruger Precision Rifle, or ERPR. It incorporates a handful of improved components based on user feedback and will be produced in both .308 Winchester and 6.5 Creedmoor

The world’s most expensive rifle–setting the record at auction for $1.265 million–is a lever-action Winchester, with a blued and case-hardened finish, engraved only with “Albee to Lawton.”

Based on an MKS Supply M1 Carbine, the semi-automatic Scout Carbine has been updated with a polymerized stock and equipped with a rail for scopes.

The U.S. Army has selected Heckler & Koch to build their updated CSASS rifles and the Marines are going back to the old way of cleaning theirs.
