In light of the “Charleston loophole” that allowed felony-charged Dylann Roof to legally purchase a handgun, the gun-grabbing group Everytown For Gun Safety plans to launch a series of ads aimed at pushing stricter background checks.

The Obama administration is making moves to ban certain social security recipients from owning firearms.

“He knew right away it wasn’t going to work from the community, but the business owners let him know as well,” said Bill Hamrock, co-owner of a bistro located across the street from the would-be NOVA Firearms.

Like death and taxes, one thing you can be sure of is that in the wake of any gun-related incident activists for tougher gun laws are going to call for rolling back the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens.

Proposals that hamper gun owners and the general public, instead of addressing crime and the root causes for homicidal outbursts makes gun-controller advocates like you look like fools, or worse, bigots, and increase the resistance you face.

It boils down to this: Charleston shooter Dylann Roof wouldn’t have been able to legally acquire a firearm if he had gone to Walmart.

”We shouldn’t give known criminals the benefit of the doubt when it comes to guns,” said Blumenthal and Murphy in a joint statement. “If law enforcement needs more than three days to ensure they’re not giving weapons to dangerous people, Washington must allow them the time to do their jobs. If we refuse to act, we’re just biding time until this happens again.”

“It’s a very intrusive law that will accomplish absolutely nothing,” said Steven Alcairo, general manager of High Bridge Arms. “As of right now I would refuse that, unless they brought a subpoena.”
