Will Obama Try to Bypass Congress to Enact Universal Background Checks?

Senate Democrats are on the move again with a renewed push for restrictions on one’s Constitutional right to keep and bear arms in the wake of the mass shooting at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon.

Senseless violence, bloodshed, mayhem and death, mostly preventable, darkened the doors of another college campus this week. Whether the evildoer was a terrorist, a criminal, mentally ill or a spurned lover, it makes no difference as we must stop giving them the time and opportunity to spill the blood and splatter the brains of innocents.

“The idea that you need more guns to stop people who are committing mass shootings is not only illogical but offensive,” Clinton added.

“On principle, I find that I am in disagreement with his policies on gun control, and therefore, we will not be attending the visit,” said Stacy Boylan, the father of Ana Boylan, who was shot in the back and is now recovering from her wounds.

This week, Everytown for Gun Safety released an interactive map that indexes each school shooting since 2013 in an effort to draw attention to the pro-gun control group’s solutions for gun violence.

“We feel like this is not a political statement,” Francone said. “We own guns, we are a part of the gun community … But with that, we’re also responsible gun owners.”

“The president rightfully asked what he could do to prevent gun violence tragedies – our recommendations answer that call,” said John Feinblatt, president of Everytown for Gun Safety.

The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence called for Douglas County Sheriff John Hanlin to step down as the lead investigator for the mass shooting at Umpqua Community College because of Hanlin’s pro-Second Amendment views.
