While Joe Biden’s anti-gun agenda has stalled in the U.S. Congress, the Texas legislature was hard at work this year shoring up the Second Amendment rights of Texas residents.

The Dept. of Justice announced this week the formation of “firearms trafficking strike forces” to help combat violent crime in major U.S. cities.

In a widely anticipated move, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals blocked California judge Robert Benitez’s ruling that overturned the state’s “assault weapon” ban and called the law a “failed experiment.”

Because it requires “FFL [federal firearms license] dealers to maintain personal gun owner information and records of transactions involving firearms, including their makes, models, and serial numbers—forever.”

Mark and Patricia McCloskey surprised observers last week when the couple pled guilty to two misdemeanor charges. Two days later the McCloskeys posted on Twitter images of themselves purchasing an AR-15 similar to the one Mark used in the incident.

It further noted, “A separate source familiar with the allegations told Fox News that ‘Senate staff continue their inquiries about Chipman’s mishandling of service weapons.’”
