For those who use a rail-mounted front sight or a visible/IR laser attached to a rail, rigidity and return to zero play a huge factor in getting accurate shot placement downrange.

One of the awesome new products from Holosun is the Solar Charging Sight- MOS (SCS), a reflex sight that mounts directly to pistol; allowing lower mounting and better blending to firearms.

There are credible stories around of a laser aiming device being pointed at a felonious aggressor and stopping an attack. For some reason, some bad guys see a dot dancing on their body and decide that they might get shot. Since they want to avoid that, they stop any criminal attack.

Chinese outlets are reporting that researchers have built a “laser AK-47,” a light and man-portable “less-lethal” weapon. The weapon, called the “ZKZM-500 laser assault rifle,” is allegedly effective out to 800 meters.

We are not too far from the time when most handguns will have lasers as integrated aiming systems. Until then, we will continue to enjoy several types of add-on laser aiming systems, each with various pros and cons.
