Trailblazer Firearms announced this week that they’ve sold more than 6,000 LifeCard pistols to date, proving that there is a market for carry tools not much larger than a stack of credit cards.

Freedom Munitions is filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy along with other related brands including Howell Machine and X-Treme Bullets.

The notice specifically states that the new Sub Compact Weapon, or SCW, needs to be a “highly concealable sub compact weapon system capable of engaging threat personnel with a high volume of lethal and accurate fires at close range with minimal collateral damage.”
