Kent was founded in 1996 by members of a hunt club, and the demands of hunting guide the production of their shotgun loads. This year there’s a big update made to their Faststeel and Turkey loads.

The HAVAK Bravo is a precision long-range hunting and competition bolt-action rifle in the production-class with custom-grade features.

After receiving a phone call from a close friend in Lafayette, Louisiana, I found myself intrigued.  As an avid waterfowl hunter, I have conjured up many dream hunts I wish to experience in my life, such as sea ducks in Alaska and South American high volume shoots…the list goes on, but south Louisiana specks were not even on my radar.

A wide racked, deep-forked mule deer buck climbed the face of a far ridge, almost to the top and gone. My friend, an expert shot with any kind of weapon, lay prone behind his rifle, scope trained on the buck as it climbed. “Range?” The word was terse and unembellished with superfluous verbiage.

As the New Year rings in every Dec 31, most hunters believe that they will have to wait until September to get the opportunity to chase fur and feathers again, as most of the big game seasons have closed and for the most part the only season open is waterfowl. Although waterfowl hunting is a great pursuit, the barriers to entry can be steep with the cost of decoys and equipment. But luckily for most Americans, there is a large game bird that offers quite the challenge, the ringneck pheasant.
