BY Dave Higginbotham Published: February 1, 2015 { 32 comments }This past week we ran a extremely popular SHOT article on the new AR pistol from MGI chambered in the 7.62×39 cartridge, which we generally think of as exclusive to the AK-47 and SKS class of rifles. Many people noted in the comments out there that there are other options for ARs that take AK mags, and it so happens that we put the https://rockriverarms.com/lar47″>Rock River LAR-47 through its paces some time ago. Since the gun is available for sale right now, this week is a good time to run it.

Thanks to some of our Italian brothers we can shoot reproductions of the classic old west guns without fear for safety, damaging a collectable and with out breaking the bank. This Uberti Cattleman is a great place to start.

Like their Bad News line that is available in 338 Lapua or 300 Winchester Magnum. They have a slightly smaller AR style rifle that is chambered for 30-06, 270 Win or 25-06 Remington.
3 New Sauer 101s–SHOT Show 2015
BY Sam Trisler Published: January 27, 2015 { 2 comments }Sauer has three new rifles in their 101 line for us to check out at SHOT Show this year. The 101 line is Sauer’s lower cost line. That is not to say that these are cheaply made, they are far from that. The stocks and the finish are usually a bit more pedestrian than the higher end lines but they shoot like the best of the best.
