The Hammer uses a 24cu carbon fiber tank holding 4,500 psi of compressed gas.  Each shot is then regulated at 3,000 psi.  What will all that pressure give you?  It will move a .50 caliber 550-grain lead slug at 790fps.  That translates to 760 foot-pounds of energy at the muzzle.

This rifle is targeting not only long range shooters, but all hunters alike with chambering offerings that include everything from 22-250 to 300 RUM. Obviously, this means that the Traverse will come in long action and short action models, which will be identical in quality, vary only by weight.

For the 2019 SHOT Show, Timney Triggers rolled out their newest product, the Elite Hunter trigger for Remington 700 bolt-action rifles. Before SHOT, I secured a new Elite Hunter for testing and evaluation. What I discovered was a fine aftermarket trigger, one that breaks very cleanly, doesn’t hang up, and actually did help improve my accuracy.
