For anyone that didn’t grab a gun before now, ithe SKS should not be overlooked. SKS rifles are still available, albeit 2020 price is closer to $350 or $400. Even at that though, it gets you a semi-auto rifle that does a pretty decent job in combat terms.

The benefits to an 18 make it something you should reconsider. For that little bit more length and weight, you get a softer shooter, as well as a minor bullet velocity gain. It is absolutely worth trying out.

If you are looking for a scope for precision competition or the hunt of a lifetime you owe it to yourself to give the NX8 offerings a serious look. I think the NX8 F1 line of scopes with the wide range of magnification choices, focal plane options, Mil or MOA adjustment options, reticle options, and illumination choices leaves little else to be desired.

While some people think that using the sights, especially at close range, is slower – and for an untrained person that might be right – that is not correct for someone who is trained and has practiced sufficiently. So why should a person learn to use the sights, even at close range? Because even at close range, even experienced shooters often miss the target if they point shoot.

I recently had the opportunity to try the new FalconStrike Hydraulic Recoil Reduction System. This product advertises that it reduces the recoil energy, the muzzle lift, the peak force, and the rock back when shooting. I received two recoil systems to use on a couple of my more recoil intensive guns. one being a 300 Winchester Magnum. In this review, I write about everything from the installation to the performance.

Frankengun Rising: A Gucci Polymer 80 Built by Clay

This was my first every Polymer 80 build, and I hope it inspires confidence if you have been thinking of trying it out. I am in no way a gunsmith, and arguably not even a decent gun mechanic. I used simple hand tools, that I would wager everyone has laying around. No drill presses or lathes around these parts.
