Last week, a 65-year-old woman saved her fiancé’s life when she shot and killed an intruder in their rural Texas home.

Door cam footage from a suburban home in Illinois captured the harrowing moments last weekend when two intruders wearing medical masks and gloves attempted to force their way through the front door.

A Virginia man has been jailed without bond after he opened fire on three masked suspects who tried to rob his store early Sunday morning.

“[The customer] shot him four or five times,” said Khawaja. “It happened like in 45 seconds. Like 30 to 45 seconds.”

The suspect entered the restaurant at approximately 10 p.m., to find only a pair of customers in the establishment. That couple, however, were two married off-duty police officers out on a date night.

“I heard somebody say there was a gunshot, and so I was just hoping that the owner and the people that work there were OK and safe,” Hellsinger told KHOU.com.

After being shot once, the burglar ran out of the house to his car and drove away. Police found the car crashed about two blocks from the home.
