Remington Arms is launching a new family of competition-oriented 1911-pattern pistols called the R1 Limited Series in single- and double-stack configs.

Following the Vepr pattern, the Legacy Sports Citadel RS-S1 is compatible with many Vepr-12-specific parts including magazines and furniture.

Glock has been updating the line up to Generation 5, as seen here on the 17/19 and here on the 19X. Remington released a new custom competition 1911 this week chambered in .40 S&W.  The pistol is a collaboration with competitive shooter Travis Tomasie.  It’s called the R1 Tomasie Custom.

This week we got a chance to look at the XDM OSP. The OSP is a 4.5 inch duty size gun that comes out of the box with a Vortex Venom on top.

Competing in the Extreme Tough Man Division of the Mammoth Sniper Challenge is a test of both shooter and gear. This 3-day event held each January requires competitors to carry all their gear 25+ miles between stages and campsites, camp out, and engage precision rifle targets out to 800+ yards.
