At SIG NEXT 2025, SIG Sauer finally unveiled its long-anticipated entry into the 2011-style pistol market: the P211. This full-size, hammer-fired, single-action pistol features a steel frame, 3D-printed compensator, and most notably, uses proven SIG P320 magazines. It delivers 23+1 capacity without the tuning headaches often found in traditional 2011 mags. SIG has engineered this pistol for serious reliability, with MRBS (mean rounds between stoppages) numbers blowing away the competition — thanks in part to refined internals, a series-80 trigger that feels like a custom job, and a grip-to-frame design that solves legacy durability issues. The SIG P211 is flat-shooting, built to last, and ready to compete in a rapidly growing pistol category. Watch the full video to see what makes this new platform a legitimate threat to the most established names in the double-stack 1911 world.

30 minutes out of my life I’ll never get back…
– Is the trigger adjustable – if yes, within what limits. If not, what is the pull out of the box?
– What is the trigger travel? You know you can measure it, right?
– What is the accuracy of the gun? Old Swiss P210 circa 1960 was shooting 2″ groups from 50 meters to pass QA – is it anywhere close?
– What ammo is it shooting best or optimized for?
– Mentioning the dimensions & weight wouldn’t hurt either
Sig mags 23+1 puts you at a disadvantage against all the other 2011’s with higher capacity mags. Not to mention with the comp now you’re in open class in USPSA and really at a disadvantage.
A Series 80 trigger ? No thank you . The little piston in the slide always seems to hang up if the pistol gets dirty .
Where is the “game changer” mentioned in the title ?
Great points, questioning and discussion and review of the Sig by Tanner Lee.
I bought a CZ Shadow 2 carry based largely on Tanners review of it. He’s very thorough and informative on these reviews. I also bought a Springfield Armory 1911 DS, Comp based largely on Tanners review.
Appreciate it
After the way Sig handled the P320 uncommanded discharges. I won’t be buying any of their products.
Sig made their values crystal clear – selling expensive guns for big profits, and then blaming and shaming their customers who experience possibly fatal “engineering issues” later.
SIG’s P211 announcement is exactly the shakeup the 2011 market needed. By combining that classic 1911 trigger feel with P320 magazine compatibility, they’ve solved one of the biggest pain points for double-stack 1911 owners. The 23+1 capacity using existing SIG mags is brilliant – no more hunting for expensive custom magazines that need constant tuning.
I’m particularly impressed by the reliability claims. If SIG can deliver that custom 2011 performance without the typical maintenance headaches, this could become the new benchmark for duty and competition use. The 3D-printed comp is an interesting choice too – wonder how it compares to traditional comps in real-world shooting.
The big question is whether SIG can price this competitively against established players like Staccato. If they hit that sweet spot between performance and affordability, we might be looking at the next evolution of the 2011 platform. Can’t wait to see how it performs in USPSA and IDPA matches!
another 9mm…… that’s great??????:(
I’ll buy any other brand than Sig. At this price point there are options available from companies who will stand behind their guns, not use their customers as beta testers and not recommend carrying their guns with an empty chamber in an effort to avoid responsibility when those guns go off on their own. To each their own but Sig has made themselves persona non grata in my book.
