Princeton Tech Unveils New Helmet Lights — SHOT Show 2024

in Mitchell Graf, SHOT Show 2024

As someone who spends a lot of time out and about using night vision, I am always happy to see new related products hit the market.

New from Princeton Tech are two programmable helmet lights which give users multiple color options on the fly.

Switch RGB

One of the highlights is the recently launched Switch RGB, a more versatile upgrade from the original Switch helmet light.

In the past, users faced a dilemma between infrared (IR) or white light for one barrel and red, green, or blue for the other. The Switch RGB simplifies this choice.

Now, users only need to decide between white or IR, as the other barrel houses all three color options, allowing users to program their preference all onboard the device.

The Switch RGB has two barrels – one for white light or infrared (IR), and the other for red, green, or blue.

And the good news doesn’t stop there. The Switch RGB maintains the same illumination quality as its predecessor. Pushing out 10 lumens, this little light provides just enough light to do hands on tasks without blinding everyone.

The MPLS platform comes with all the essential equipment required to customize the Switch RGB according to your preferences, featuring items such as Helmet Side Mount, ARCs, MOLLE/PALS, Picatinny, Above the Rail, Hat Brim Clip, and M-LOK.

Charge X

But wait, there’s more! Princeton Tech is gearing up for a March release of the Charge X, set to replace the existing Charge models. The Charge and Charge Pro were distinct in their fuel sources, with the Charge Pro powered by a CR123 battery and the Charge relying on AA batteries.

The Charge X takes it up a notch by being a dual-fuel powerhouse, accommodating both battery types. Just like the new Switch RGB, the Charge X is also programable.

The real kicker is that it comes equipped with all the lights you need – red, green, blue, IR, and white. Additionally, white light on the Charge X has also been boosted to 100 lumens from 55, almost doubling the output of the Charge Pro.

Featuring 100 lumen output, the new programable Charge X provides more versatility

For those interested in the Switch RGB, the good news is that it’s already available on the market. Both the Switch RGB and the upcoming Charge X come with a price tag of $79.99 and $149, respectively.

If you are looking for more flexibility or output, these new helmet mounted lights could serve you well. Learn more HERE.
