Primary Arms showcased a PLX 1.5-12 at SHOT Show 2026, which pairs compact size with typical Platinum series quality.
PLX Line Context and Intent

Primary Arms positions the PLX series as its premium optics line, and this 1.5-12 model expands that catalog. Instead of pushing magnification extremes, the company focused on a flexible option that bridges the gap between Low and Mid power optics.
As a result, the optic targets shooters who want more reach than a 1-6 or 1-8 without sacrificing clarity, as many 1-10s do, or jumping to a larger mid-power scope.
The scope uses a 30mm tube and Japanese glass. This optic continues with the existing PLX standards for quality, durability, and clarity.
Reticle Options and Controls
Primary Arms offers the PLX 1.5-12 with Griffin and Raptor reticles. Both options align with the company’s existing reticle ecosystem, which helps users stay consistent across optics and platforms.

Turrets come capped from the factory. Instead of exposed or locking turrets, Primary Arms chose a lower-profile setup. PA stated it currently has no plans for adjustable locking turrets, although future changes were not ruled out.
Illumination is adjusted using a low-profile turret on the left slide of the optic. Importantly, the illumination dial includes off positions between each setting. As a result, users can quickly toggle illumination without spinning through the entire range.

Impressions from the Show Floor
On the SHOT Show floor, adjustments felt smooth and consistent. Zoom and parallax rings moved evenly without abrupt resistance. Additionally, the illumination/parallax turret is pleasantly compact. I am always happy when these controls are kept low profile.
Glass clarity appeared strong from edge to edge under indoor lighting. There was minimal visible distortion, and brightness remained consistent across the field of view.
