A Milestone for American Manufacturing

As part of Primary Arms’ Discovery 2025 initiative, the HTX-1 reflects years of research and development to create a Made-in-USA optic that meets the demands of shooters seeking precision, durability, and reliability.

This milestone emphasizes Primary Arms’ ongoing commitment to producing top-tier optics in the United States while enhancing its flagship PLx tier of products, known for excellence in performance and quality.

First look at the Primary Arms PLx HTX-1

Innovative Modular Design

The HTX-1 introduces a patent-pending Modular Chassis System, designed for compatibility with nearly all optics-ready pistols.

Unlike traditional adapter plates, this system provides a stronger connection and allows the optic to sit lower on the firearm, improving holster compatibility and reducing height-over-bore.

Also, the sight co-witnesses with standard-height iron sights, ensuring you’re always aligned for quick target acquisition.

Built for Tough Conditions

Durability is at the forefront of the HTX-1’s design. Additionally, the optic’s housing is made from rugged 7075 aluminum, featuring reinforced contours and a recessed lens pocket to protect against drops, impacts, and debris.

Inside, potted electronics and 12.9-grade hardware ensure reliable performance under recoil and shock.

Both brightness adjustments are flush with the left side of the housing on the Primary Arms HTX-1.

The lens itself features narrow-band glass doublets treated with wide-band anti-reflective coatings, providing a clear, undistorted sight picture no matter the lighting conditions.

Two Reticle Options for Every Shooter

Shooters have the choice between two reticle options with the HTX-1: the ACSS Vulcan Dot, which includes a toggleable outer ring for faster target acquisition, or a 4 MOA dot reticle.

Both are powered by a side-loading CR2032 battery and feature AutoLive illumination technology, which automatically adjusts brightness based on the surrounding environment while conserving battery life when not in use.

Durability That’s Ready for Anything

With a shockproof and waterproof design, the HTX-1 is built to stand up to the toughest environments. Whether you’re dealing with heavy recoil, extreme conditions, or rough handling, this optic ensures reliable performance every time you need it.

An American-Made Optic

The HTX-1 represents a significant leap forward for Primary Arms, showcasing the company’s dedication to expanding optics manufacturing in the United States.

Marshall Lerner, Founder and CEO of Primary Arms Optics, explains, “HTX-1 is the result of a three-year journey to expand optics manufacturing in the United States. This project exemplifies our commitment to innovation and craftsmanship, delivering a truly American-made optic designed and built in Houston, Texas.”

Conclusion

The PLx HTX-1 Reflex Sight brings American-made optics to the forefront of the industry. Combining durability, performance, and innovative features at an accessible price.

The MSRP is $699 for the 4 MOA dot reticle and $749 for the ACSS Vulcan Dot reticle. Also, both models look to deliver exceptional value for those seeking innovative and domestically produced pistol optics.

These dots are currently available for purchase and are expected to begin shipping around April.

The HTX-1 offers a seemingly reliable solution, setting a new standard for pistol optics made in the USA. Lastly, stay tuned as we may be doing a full review down the road!
