Does NRA Show Enough Support for Black Rifles?

So, I was watching Iraqveteran8888’s latest “Gun Gripes” episode on “Fudds” (moderate gun owners) and he (Eric) and Chad slightly criticized the National Rifle Association for not showing enough support for “black rifles,” what gun grabbers mistakenly refer to as “assault weapons.”

Now they both clearly support the NRA, but they also wanted to make the point that the nation’s gun lobby was a little slow to get behind the black rifle movement. Moreover, when they currently see an NRA representative touting the merits of a black rifle they believe it seems as if the NRA is trying too hard to earn the respect of those interested in black rifles, specifically the younger generation.

I thought that was an interesting critique of the NRA, though I’m not sure I agree with it. So, I’ll pose the question to you, does the NRA show enough support for black rifles?
