Estimated reading time: 2 minutes

We’ve got some exciting news from the Colt booth at the 2024 NRAAM in Dallas, TX. They’ve just rolled out their latest addition to the revolver family: the Colt Viper!

A Fresh Take on a Classic Design

What do you think of Colt’s new Viper?

The Colt Viper comes in two barrel lengths, 3-inch and 4.25-inch, both boasting a new half-lug design.

This sleek update reduces weight and enhances concealability without sacrificing performance.

Made from stainless steel, this full-size frame revolver steps up from the old lightweight .38 Special frame, now chambered in the powerful .357 Magnum.

Smooth Operator

With an improved action, the Colt Viper offers a smoother shooting experience.

True said the single-action trigger feels “fantastic,” and the revolver features U-Notch rear sights and classic American Walnut grips for that retro flair.

Not a big Colt revolver fan never have been, have always been a Smith and Wesson man, that said you can take the .357 Magnum and stick it where the sun doesn’t shine!
I’ll stick with the old .38 Special and Hornaday meat masher hollow points, much more effective, and NO over-penetration!
