Reason.com put together this excellent video, see above, that destroys the large body of (anti-gun) research out there that gun controllers consistently cite in their effort to disarm America.
This video is a must-watch for all.
But for those of you who don’t have sixteen minutes at this moment, here’s the main takeaway:
“We took a look at the significance of the 123 rigorous empirical studies and what they actually say about the efficacy of gun control laws,” says Reason.
“The answer: nothing,” they continue. “The 123 studies that met RAND’s criteria may have been the best of the 27,900 that were analyzed, but they still had serious statistical defects, such as a lack of controls, too many parameters or hypotheses for the data, undisclosed data, erroneous data, misspecified models, and other problems.”

WOW! Nothing. The answer is NOTHING! But wait, it gets better.
“Not only is the social science literature on gun control broadly useless, but it provides endless fodder for advocates who say that ‘studies prove” that a particular favored policy would have beneficial outcomes,” says Reason.
“This matters because gun laws, even if they don’t accomplish their goals, have large costs. They can turn otherwise law-abiding citizens into criminals, they increase prosecutorial power and incarceration, and they exacerbate the racial and socioeconomic inequities in the criminal justice system,” they add.
Any open-minded person should see this as a death blow to the gun-control cause. Gun control is not only useless in its apparent aim of reducing violence, but it also has punitive consequences for responsible citizens.
Of course, gun owners have been saying this for decades. But maybe now that it’s coming from an unbiased news outlet like Reason.com more people will take note. Like and share the video if you have time.

They almost lost me using the meaningless, and yet common, term: gun violence.
All of my firearms have a very peaceful disposition, never back talk me, and are alway home by 11:00 PM.
Polls and statistics should be totally excluded from being allowed to influence public policy & lawmaking. They are an open door for manipulation to achieve a desired result.
Of course, that plays right into the hands of politicians and special interest groups, who will use such “irrefutable evidence” to further their cause. Hey, propaganda works on lazy minds.
Simply put, if a person is going to kill someone, they will always find a way and do you really think they care about any other laws? Then try to convince me that politicians actually care about crime. They are criminals themselves to a great extent. All they care about is control. Instead of gun control, how about criminal control ?

Unbiased, lmao. Even their website says they are not unbiased They have an agenda. Period.
