Home Invasions Plummet After Florida Sheriff Says…

in 2nd Amendment – R2KBA, Current Events, This Week

About a year ago, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff Bob Johnson sparked controversy by suggesting homeowners should shoot intruders to save taxpayer money.

“And I’ll tell you right now, you know, somebody breaks in your house in Santa Rosa County and you shoot and kill them, the chances of them reoffending after that are zero and we like those odds,” said Sheriff Johnson on Fox News.

The sheriff stood by his views despite public outcry. And now he’s given an update on the situation.

“Since that press conference we haven’t had any home invasions and it’s been over a year so it’s kind of odd,” he said, wryly.

In a recent video, urban gun enthusiast Colion Noir questioned why other sheriffs aren’t promoting similar self-defense empowerment.

Noir criticized sheriffs who play politics rather than protecting people. Colion advocates a symbiotic relationship between police and citizens. He believes in empowering people to defend themselves, acknowledging police can’t be everywhere at once.

Noir argues this approach would drastically reduce crime, not just in Santa Rosa County but nationwide.

His philosophy is simple: intruders forfeit their safety when they break into homes. Noir promotes gun ownership and preparedness, arguing that intruders typically intend to commit felonies, not play nice-nice when they enter.

Noir’s vision extends beyond local enforcement, imagining the impact if the federal government adopted a similar stance on home defense. Unfortunately, that’ll never happen under the current administration.

Anyone that breaks into another persons’ home deserves to be shot. There’s nothing worse in life than a thief.
