Glock Confirms V Series!

UPDATE: Glock Store is apparently reporting that there is an “entirely new” model coming with an “FCU modular grip.” Nothing set in stone as of yet, though. Stay tuned!

A major product shakeup at Glock moved from rumor to confirmation this week — but only after a retailer prematurely spilled the beans and Glock stepped in to correct the record.

A Nashville retailer posted on social media claiming that Glock would discontinue “all models” except the slimline 43-series and roll out an entirely new line called the GLOCK V, effective Nov. 30.

That post went viral and set off a round of panic buying and wild speculation across forums and feeds.

Glock responded with an internal notice — later reported by multiple outlets — saying the retailer “was NOT affiliated with GLOCK Inc.” and that the company was updating its line “to align with upcoming offerings.”

The company confirmed the V Series is real, that V-marked pistols will begin appearing “on shelves and for media loan December 2025,” and supplied an initial roster of commercial and distributor-exclusive V models.

What Glock has listed so far includes the G17 V, G19 V, G19X V, G45 V, G26 V, G20 V MOS, G23 V, G23 V MOS, G21 V MOS and the G44 V. A handful of distributor-exclusive “C” and MOS variants were also named. Glock says V guns will be marked with a “V” on slide and frame.

So what actually happened?

Two facts are clear: 1) an unauthorized retailer statement — which claimed a sweeping discontinuation November 30 — triggered the uproar; and 2) Glock has confirmed a new V Series and given a timetable for initial availability in December.

Beyond that, details remain thin. Glock’s message framed the move as a product-line update “to establish a baseline of products while simplifying our processes,” not as an immediate recall or forced phase-out announcement for all current models.

Industry chatter has tied the timing and scope of the rollout to concerns over illegal “switch” conversion devices and rising state-level regulatory pressure, but Glock has not publicly said that countering conversion kits was the driving cause.

Several outlets note the speculation while stressing that the V announcement itself stops short of explaining detailed engineering changes or parts compatibility with prior generations.

If internal changes are made, they could have knock-on effects for aftermarket parts and optics compatibility — something owners and gunsmiths will watch closely.

What you should do now: don’t panic. Track inventory and pricing if you’re shopping; expect media loaner units and limited shelf stock in December per Glock’s notice; and wait for official tech sheets from Glock before assuming parts or slide/optic compatibility will change.

We’ll test and report as soon as we can get hands on V models. Stay tuned!

GlockStore isn’t “reporting” an FCU modular grip, they’re “expecting” one. So am I, but this certainly isn’t any kind of comfirmation.

    Wow.

Americans think that warrantless NSA wiretapping is constitutional.

I’ve seen this same foreign propaganda account on reddit, but never out in the wild. This guy used the handle “dcbiker” for years on reddit (until he was banned) and posted nothing but this kind of random reply with non sequitur criticisms of America, like:
“Wow. Now Americans are saying waiting periods for guns are perfectly acceptable because you must also wait for redlights.”
      Or:
“Americans say no white people died in Nazi Germany or the Soviet Union.”
I didn’t know he was still spreading the same low-effort drivel. “Ze Statue of Liberty is kaput”, lol.

Just because the person who leaked this wasn’t affiliated with Glock doesn’t mean they were wrong. Glock pulled a Cracker Barrel and got caught with their pants down in their efforts to bow to and appease the anti-gun crowd and their SLAPP (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation) designed to try and destroy Glock as a company. A lot of former Glock fanboys have left the nest over this and who knows how that will affect Glock if at all.

If Glock is coming back as a modular FCU it might win some back but if I know Glock like I think I know Glock, they will do the absolute minimum to try and appease everyone. They will definitely change the design to stop current “switches” from being used on their guns and they likely will offer an FCU but will it be across the board or only on higher priced guns? Probably. Will the change the much derided grip angle to match all the clones people seem to prefer? Probably not. Will they put decent adjustable sights on from the factory? Probably not. As usual with Glock it’ll be a mixed bag of some good and mostly disappointment.

my g23 gen4 works just fine, so i’m no sure what you are going on about????

It doesn’t matter if you like yours as it is, just about everyone knows the grip angle of the Glock and the cheap sights are the two biggest complaints about the Glock so either you’re ignorant of these facts or your just 💩 posting, again. It’s also common knowledge among Glock owners that many Glock owners have been hoping they switch to a serialized FCU design to make the guns modular. I have no doubt you know that but trolls are going to troll. 🧌

Since this about the the worse pistol design ever- I couldn’t care less.

I’m wondering if this new “V” model has been designed to compete with other military contractors supplying weaponry to government agencies? It makes sense that Glock is cleaning house and eliminating models that just aren’t as popular as others, like the .45 Gap models.

Even though I own 11 Glocks, I’m a GSSF member, do we really need a model 43 AND a 43X? I own both and there really isn’t a big difference between the two. How about the G36? As I understand, it’s not very popular. I have one, but I’d rather carry one of the other higher capacity models that aren’t much bigger. It only holds 6 rounds. And mine only likes to only digest mil-spec ball and doesn’t care for the hotter 45acp hollow points. So why bother? Besides, I’m not a fan of the 230gr ball rounds’ performance as a man stopper and it’s ability to dump a lot of kinetic energy in a target without over penetrating.

Even though the “plastic-fantastics” are easier to produce than an all metal gun, Glock streamlining their product line sounds like good business sense to me.

okay i’ll take a guess……one frame for all possibly metal, thumb safety, one slide fits all so just barrels and mags will be different. i’m sure i’ll be way off but what the heck.
