Chester County Veteran’s Tragic FBI Encounter: Unanswered Questions

Theodore “Teddy” Deschler, a 45-year-old disabled veteran, met a tragic end during a brief 15-minute FBI operation, WBBJ reported.

The aftermath has left his Chester County family demanding answers and justice.

Raid’s Devastation: Family Home Scarred

In the early hours of August 16th, FBI SWAT teams made their presence aggressively felt at Deschler’s residence in Henderson, TN.

Evidence of their operation remains clear with shattered windows, a yard ravaged by SWAT trucks, bullet holes, and traces of flashbangs.

Eyewitness Accounts: A Mother’s Traumatic Experience

Bonnie Deschler, Teddy’s mother, was home during the raid.

Still shaken by the agents’ hostility, she remembers being told it ‘was none of her business’ when she inquired about their presence.

Disputed Fragments: Was Teddy Armed?

The family staunchly believes in Teddy’s innocence.

His brother, Russell Deschler, raises crucial concerns about the FBI’s engagement strategy.

Indicating the garage window as the agents’ firing point, he suggests it was nearly impossible to verify if Teddy was armed, especially with his position behind a door.

“It was a senseless act. You know Teddy was a 100% disabled veteran. He had problems. He had severe PTSD. And he had depression but he was getting help for it but this was senseless,” said Deschler.

“He didn’t have a weapon on him. He was just trying to get out of the house because it was filled with tear gas,” Deschler added.

A chilling bloody handprint on the door supports the family’s claims.

Backstory: A Clouded Past

Connecting Teddy to a gas station stabbing earlier in the year, authorities hint at a possible reason for their interest.

Nevertheless, details of this incident and its relevance to the fatal raid remain under wraps.

Demand for Transparency: A Family’s Plea

Fed up with the scant details and lack of transparency, Russell shares the family’s desperation.

“They said it’s an ongoing investigation, but they won’t say anything to us,” Russell said.

The FBI’s response remains limited. They’ve confirmed the operation, ensuring the public of their commitment to a thorough investigation.

Fox News obtained a statement from the agency:

The FBI is reviewing an agent-involved shooting which occurred today at approximately 6:40 a.m. while FBI SWAT was conducting an arrest operation in Henderson, TN. The subject is deceased. The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously. In accordance with FBI policy, the shooting incident is under review by the FBI’s Inspection Division. As this is an ongoing matter, we have no further details to provide.

With the hope of uncovering the truth and seeking justice for Teddy’s untimely demise, the Deschler family is gearing up to file a civil lawsuit against the FBI.

As always, stay tuned for updates.

When exactly do we stop demanding answers and start making these createns answer for their politically green lit murders? Asking for a friend who isn’t a veteran since apparently serving this country is becoming a death sentence.

  • paul I'll call you what I want/1st Amendment September 2, 2023, 6:19 pm

never seem to have the bodycam video……..

  • John W. September 2, 2023, 12:53 pm

It appears that the current political admin has little regard for the well being of others. The government has the resources to wait it out. This for me is another Randy Weaver story or Mt Caramel Waco tragedy. No need for this government to take the actions that they have. It’s a travesty that American’s are being aggressively attacked by our government. One day this could be you.

  • Lino de Soto September 2, 2023, 12:31 pm

What can one expect from the FBI’s hostage rescue team under Horiuchi who murdered Randall Weaver’s entire family. Or the gleeful FBI giddily murdering all of those innocent children in the Branch davidian burn down in Waco Texas. Or the FBI involvement in the 50+ people murdered in Las Vegas during an outdoor concert. Or the forced kidnapping of Alian Gonzalez and his forced repatriation to Cuba. Or the FBI involvement in land confiscation issues affecting innocent Ranchers in Nevada. Or FBI involvement in persecution and spying on traditional Catholics all over the country. And finally this, their most recent murder of an innocent veteran. If this doesn’t prove that this organization is thoroughly Marxist, then go on thinking you can get redress by legal means against them. Our founders knew that sooner or later the government of this country would turn against us. And the second amendment was their remedy in the protection of an increasingly preyed upon populace. This is the sad and desperate reality within which we find ourselves today. Going forward it would be best if we all prayerfully and unobtrusively prepare for our defense, keeping in mind what the government has become and what the FBI and it’s related agencies have done to so many innocent people.

“The FBI takes all shooting incidents involving our agents or task force members seriously. ”

Of course they do! That’s why they stage massive armed raids on people, trash their homes, terrorize them, and sometimes kill them. Most “suspects” would voluntarily surrender if contacted via mail, or through their attorney. Don’t forget the Roger Stone raid, with CNN camera crew on site before the raid began. Or, how about Mar-a-Lago? Pastor Houck? The list goes on. Weaponized against American citizens.
The scumbags are acting like they’re raiding an ISIS stronghold in Falluja.

  • Louis September 2, 2023, 1:25 am

Very bad tactics, in fact unjustifiable if no body was an immediate threat to the public, and It looks like there was no immediate threat to any one. Very dangerous when any agency becomes so powerful and unaccountable to the point it can perform such a mess and get away with it. I will refrain from saying more because it would be long but I will end saying we must be very careful about what we think our rights really are when we are facing the legal system. Better advice I ever heard on that matter is stay away from it the most you can. Sometimes it could mean something no lawyer would ever advise you to do. If you can read between these last words, good for you.

  • Jeremy September 1, 2023, 9:39 pm

So the FBI is under review by the FBI? That should work out good 😒. The thing is, they can always say you were a threat or appeared to be armed. When the alphabet agencies come a knocking you’re a dead man if they choose. I mean why is the FBI tear gassing a man for a gas station stabbing? Shouldn’t local police or sheriff’s be doing this arrest? There’s definitely more to this story

  • Richard September 1, 2023, 8:27 pm

The FBI is the modern day Gestapo, or Stasi. F the FBI.

    • Stan d. Upnow September 2, 2023, 9:07 am

      Perhaps the REAL domestic terrorists.

  • Janet El Reno September 1, 2023, 8:26 pm

Waco revisted..Ruby Ridge..what else is new..guilty until, proven innocent..Biden’s America.

  • Maha September 1, 2023, 7:46 pm

Hey, another Vet taken off the disability rolls. Is this the FBI’s new mandate?

  • Jeff K September 1, 2023, 7:44 pm

Jack. Booted. Thugs. The only difference between the German brown shirts and this FBI is the symbol they wear. I picked up a coy of the Constitution today. What these so-called law enforcement are violating the 4th and 5th Amendment. They’re probably violating other parts of the constitution. I’m not a constitutional lawyer but just reading the 4th and 5th Amendments in my copy of the Bill of Rights Primer by Akh Reed Amar and Les Adams, it’s pretty danged obvious there something definitely wrong with federal law enforcement. They keep pushing and taking. At some point, something is going to give and it’s going to be a bloodbath.
I hope and pray that never happens.

  • Russell September 1, 2023, 5:30 pm

Back the blue. Law and order.
I’m sure it was justified and necessary, just like the scumbag who threatened the president.

  • Lam Master September 1, 2023, 4:11 pm

There is no rational reason for this kind of activity by the FBI, given their “excuse” for how they conducted themselves, it appears the ones who are so supposed to “protect” us have become the “criminals”???

    • Rouge1 September 2, 2023, 1:49 am

They shot women and children there .

  • CalH September 1, 2023, 3:31 pm

Government is making a point. Exercise caution about speaking out against them or be executed.

  • C.M. Chason September 1, 2023, 3:16 pm

Sure, anyone who threatens der fuhrer MUST be eliminated at once!
But I don’t know WHY I bother to write anything, since it is NEVER accepted.

  • ejharbet September 1, 2023, 2:56 pm

need to put things in place so you know they’re coming. it seems to me that the have this new habit of coming out of nowhere to surprise you into going for a weapon. that way they can magdump you and it’s “justified”. vets know how to secure a perimeter from sneak attack by a cowardly enemy.use the knowledge and while you might die anyway. you’ll have company.

  • Gregory September 1, 2023, 2:32 pm

    End gestapo tactics NOW!

  • Mauser6863 September 1, 2023, 2:14 pm

Where is a copy of the search/arrest warrant issued by a Federal Judge? They redact names of informants, etc. but can’t keep a warrant secret.

  • Niko September 1, 2023, 1:49 pm

Another murder by the FBLie. It’ll be interesting to see what the probable cause was for the warrant (made up bullshit)! The tyrants in the government agencies need disbanded. Why should we pay taxes that fund these America hating commies?

  • Sepp W September 1, 2023, 1:26 pm

The FBI conducts a raid for a local gas station hold up?

    • C.M. Chason September 1, 2023, 3:18 pm

      Interesting.

    • JAY BARRETT KNODELL September 1, 2023, 8:28 pm

Holding up a gas station is one thing. Holding up a gas station and voting for Trump just can’t be ignored.

    • RogerUSX September 2, 2023, 8:46 am

EXACTLY my thought as well. Something isn’t adding up here.

  • Tommy Barrios September 1, 2023, 1:14 pm

The Founders of this country never intended for there to be any Federal armed police forces like the Now every three letter agencies has its own Swat Team! This must stop starting with the FBI they are no longer the Federal Bureau of Investigation they’re now the Federal Bureau of Indictment and Murder along with the ATF! These agencies need to be abolished!

  • Davud September 1, 2023, 12:33 pm

Not enough details to tell whether this was a justified or unjustified shoot. Story is poor journalism, way too many loaded descriptors and implications of wrongdoing like “demanding justice” (too soon to know whether this was an unjust shooting) and “untimely demise” (if he was a legit armed threat, which we don’t know yet, his demise was timely for cops’ safety).

Let the process play out, or you’re no different than Black Lives Matter screaming for the head of every cop who busts a black person, legit or otherwise.

    • C.M. Chason September 1, 2023, 3:23 pm

Sure. Just buy whatever they sell you! Don’t THINK for yourself! Don’t QUESTION! Just OBEY! Want to test your theory? Just print something on “Social Media” that can be construed as a threat too Crooked Joe, then see what happens!
      LUCK!

    • Kane September 1, 2023, 10:46 pm

You mean like how the “process” played out in the Ashli Babbitt case?

Maybe you could lecture US silly reactionaries on the top 3 take aways of that “investigation.” Good Luck

      • Stan d. Upnow September 2, 2023, 9:14 am

Should have been a George Floyd-style “peaceful protest” over that murder. Silly me, I forgot that you can’t loot/burn/beat/destroy/kill unless you’re a Communist group approved of by the Leftist scum in DC.

        • Kane September 4, 2023, 12:07 pm

“Davud” has no clue that comparing a internal investigation of the Federal Police by the DOJ is NOT the same as a the local Police. Often, local Police are investgated by the Feds but never the opposite.

What is the Federal over sight?

Lt. Byrd’s identity was withheld for months supposedly to protect him and his family but the local Police are not protected in this manner.

Lt . Byrd never tried to use a non-lethal weapon, why not?

Why was Lt. Bryd not interrogated by the DOJ?

A Grand Jury should convene and hopefully under a new Adminstation this will be the case.

Remember an unarmed White Female Veteran was shot dead under very questionable circumstances by a Black Male Federal PO. Bury those optics as long as possible not that it matters to the hateful left when the demographic issues does not feed into there twisted agends.

  • Bluefish123 September 1, 2023, 12:28 pm

Another brown shirt FBI and Garland/Biden assassination , this time with a disabled person. Government sanctioned murders.

  • Jim September 1, 2023, 12:23 pm

Day is coming when the Vet will be setup and waiting for them.

    • C.M. Chason September 1, 2023, 3:25 pm

It will need too be more than just one guy too mean much. And, in the end, the “Media” will cover it all up, anyway, and make the Vet or Vets sound like a batch of Lunatics. And, just like now, No One will CARE!

  • Jay Fisher September 1, 2023, 12:21 pm

Killing a disabled veteran. I can’t even get my head around that. All we are is tax dollars to them. To line their pockets. That’s what it’s been since the beginning.

  • R. Hayden September 1, 2023, 12:20 pm

It is about time that the FBI agents and their supervisors are held responsible for their arbitrary murder of suspects that suposed to be arrested. They are still innocent untill proven guilty.

  • cat September 1, 2023, 12:20 pm

Yeah the FBI will show up for Biden but they still have no manpower to go after abused missing children 750,000 plus or minus missing persons reports yearly, majority children, Sexual asaults of children that the FBI states are too numerous and they can only get to those under 3 yrs of age 0-3 yrs due to manpower… How SICK is this!
They have time to go through Active Duty service members FB accounts and MOM and DAD protest at School Boards too… They have lots of employees to dress up as Trans Story Tellers and stage an INSURRECTION on J6 too. ABOLLISH the FBI Leadership or lack there of and put them and the DOJ and HLSecurity Insane Heads in prison. So very sorry for this senseless loss. YOU CANT SAY anything out the Biden REGIME without retaliation from its private Police. GOD HELP US!

  • rick reeve September 1, 2023, 10:04 am

    sad very sick sad

  • David September 1, 2023, 8:57 am

Long past time to abolish the ATF and the FBI. America has no need of federal police and agencies that trample the people’s natural rights including those enumerated in the Bill of Rights to be protected.

    • Stan d. Upnow September 2, 2023, 9:28 am

Go a little further with that. WHY do we need 87,000 armed IRS agents? Why are employees at the Dept. of Education(DOE), Dept. of Health & Human Services(HHS), Bureau of Land Mgt.(BLM), and Library of Congress(!!) armed?
Seems like that expression, “Fear the govt. that fears its citizens” has merit.

  • Mark N. September 1, 2023, 1:20 am

These pre-dawn raids are, to me, a highly questionable tactic. If I wa awakened from a deep sleep by the sound of breaking glass, you can bet I’d be grabbing a gun–and then they would sho0ot me dead. How many videos have we seen where one officer is yelling one command, and another is yelling contradictory demands? How many times do police etc say to drop the gun and immediately begin firing leaving the individual no chance to comply before ending up dead? I do not dispute that there are many instances where the shooting is justified, but far too many where the officer sees movement and opens fire, only later finding out that it is the wrong person, and that the person is not armed.

    • ROBERT JAN HOLUBAR September 1, 2023, 8:29 pm

“Drop the gun” is just a formality. It plays well to the jury.

      • Stan d. Upnow September 2, 2023, 9:38 am

Yeah, or after they kill someone in a raid, they display for the press the weapons found inside the home, never claiming the victims were posing a direct threat, but egregiously trying to justify the shooting by implying that, simply because the victims possessed guns.
These Red Flag laws are an open door to rampant abuse and justification for such cases.

    • Stan d. Upnow September 2, 2023, 9:32 am

So sorry; wrong address. Moving on.

  • Kane September 1, 2023, 12:22 am

The American citizenry is very bmuch like the frog in pot of water who does NOT noticed the gradule increase in temperature even now as the flame had been blowing full blast for a longtime.

Just take a look back to 1989’s “Operation Just Cause” where the US invaded Panama obstensively to finally stop racketeering and drug trafficking by Manual Norriega. Sure enough, Norriega was deposed and our rightous leaders may have even put an iron mask on his head and thrown him in a dungeon till he finally died. Never be surprised how quickly the CIA (Criminals In-charge of America) plunge that knife into the back of a former ‘friend.’

But did “the end justify the means.” Well, the global drug traffiking has never slowed before or since the invasion. The dominant drug flooding the streets of the US has changed, in the early 1980’s marijuana was the most common but the supply mysteriously dried up and was replaced by the more destrucive “crack.” Today Fentanyl is being trafficked by China into the US and killing the fabric of the US while the fake POTUS (genuine POS) and his evil Administration no longer even try to protect the American population from this wave of narcotics. As a matter of fact the Administration aids and abets the drug runners.

Here’s the real kick in the teeth, Panama in still a major drug transit hub and now China controls the country the US invaded in 1989.

Maybe the US will soon start letting China knock on doors and killing US vets.

  • paul I'll call you what I want/1st Amendment August 31, 2023, 6:11 pm

WTF???????? biden must really be scared of vets!

    • Stan d. Upnow September 2, 2023, 9:43 am

Not just vets, but all those “white supremacists”(i.e., conservatives) on active duty.

  • Bill Carter August 31, 2023, 5:16 pm

The Standard FBI response to questions is: “This is an ongoing investigation and we can’t answer any questions because of that”. Riiiight. The Hunter Biden investigation regarding his funding and pistol purchase went on for over FIVE years. It was dragged out long enough for the statute of limitations to kick in and that way nothing will happen. This guy’s family will get no, zero, nada answers. The FBI SWAT members already have the black uniforms; do their uniforms and conduct remind you of anyone who was much feared (as they are now) back in the late 1930s and middle 1940s?

    • Stan d. Upnow September 2, 2023, 9:47 am

How many times have you heard– “The safety of our agents/officers is our Primary concern.”?

    • Bob September 2, 2023, 2:44 pm

If a suspect is named in an investigation then there is no statute of limitations. Neither is there one for homicide.
