Crying Wolf Over Guns - Big Mistake in 2012

Crying Wolf Over Guns – Big Mistake in 2012

Election day clearly spelled out that America has become an “us vs. them” society. The “them,” meaning those who are receiving government entitlements, now outnumber the “us” who do not, and they outvoted us. The election had almost nothing to do with guns, and our core voters apparently didn’t show up at the polls. Mitt Romney got two million less votes than McCain did in 2008. We lost the election before it started, because Mitt, as Rush Limbaugh recently pointed out, ran on a platform of hard work, what many of us here in the choir thing is the only thing that will bring America back from the precipice of destruction on which we now stand.

Obama ran as Santa Clause again. This time Santa even had free birth control pills, and that’s like sixty bucks a month. How do you beat that? Thomas Jeffereson once said, “The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those willing to work and give to those who would not.” If you saw the polls at 11am in Miami-Dade county, when “those who work” were mostly at work, it is easy to see how our democracy ceased to exist on Tuesday. The election was bought and paid for by Santa Clause, with our own money, but everyone should understand that nobody in those long lines cared about taking away our guns, or pretty much anything besides not losing their government checks. America will not change. The powers that be will continue to demonize American capitalism and sell our future to China. And at some point our empty service based economy will most likely collapse, but that’s a story for another day, and it has little to do with guns for now.

Vote Mitt Romney Next Tuesday - Protect the 2nd Amendment

Vote Mitt Romney Next Tuesday – Protect the 2nd Amendment

It is extremely hard to say this, but we all have to go and vote for Mitt Romney next Tuesday. As you may know if you are a follower of the GunsAmerica Magazine & Blog, we came out early in support of Ron Paul in the primaries, and strongly against Mitt. None of that has changed. He is still a sniveling politician who sticks his finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing, then announces that the wind was his idea. But despite the fact that Mitt has never been a friend of the 2nd Amendment, we plan to vote next week and we strongly urge you to vote as well, even if it turns your stomach, for Mitt Romney. President Obama has created nothing short of electoral blackmail after his comments about renewing the Assault Weapons Ban in the last debate. If you value your AR-15 and your 2nd Amendment rights, you have to get out and vote for Mitt. We all have to get out and vote, and get our friends to vote, no excuses.

National Gun Registry Imminent – Fight the UN Small Arms Treaty ATT

This coming week the UN is set to meet to agree on an international arms treaty on “small arms,” called the ATT. The treaty was engineered by Hillary Clinton, and is the second shot from the Obama White House to covertly take our 2nd Amendment rights away through indirect means. The first was of course the “Fast & Furious” program that walked guns into Mexico in hopes that our gun freedom, and gun dealers, would be blamed for spilled blood across the border. Thankfully that one failed thanks to a brave whistleblower, but this one is even more serious.

You need to immediately contact your Senators for your state. The Senate, not the House of Representatives, ratifies international treaties. This link gives you the phone numbers and a link to the web form for the Senators themselves:

Glocks for Girls – Tori Nonaka Team Glock

As a Range Instructor for a medium sized department, I soon learned that shooters come in various shapes, sizes, experiences, and abilities. One aspect we found, was that many of our smaller stature officers, who happened to be female, struggled to use the department issue gun, a Glock 22 or 23 in .40 S&W. These days we have the Gen 4 Glocks with interchangeable backstraps, and 17 year old Team Glock member Tori Nonaka is shooting double stack Glocks in competition. This is a bit of an overview, and a short interview with Tori.

Google Bans Guns in Shopping - Good News for Stocking Gun Dealers

Google Bans Guns in Shopping – Good News for Stocking Gun Dealers

This week Google announced a major change in the way it runs Google Shopping, which is the “Shopping” tab on the left when you search. Guns and gun stuff will no longer be allowed. Google Shopping will now comply with the rules for Google Adwords, which has not allowed advertising for guns for several years now. Google is an anti-2nd Amendment company. They always have been. This is not a new angle for Google. Like all of the Silicon Valley dogooders without a clue, Google is clueless.

At this point, who cares? As we explained in our Monday Memo that goes out to our stocking gun dealers here, this past week the Supreme Court said it was ok for the government to force you to buy something you don’t need or want. We aren’t going to cure America’s ills here at GunsAmerica, and 2nd Amendment freedom isn’t the worst of our freedom that the government has co-opted in the last several years. But we can explain what losing Google Shopping means for the gun industry, and for our 2nd Amendment freedom as it stands today, and for tomorrow.

Buying M1 Garands from the US Government - CMP - Civilian Marksmanship Program

Buying M1 Garands from the US Government – CMP – Civilian Marksmanship Program

Did you wish you bought real estate in 1999? What about gold in 2001? Well the same thing is happening right now with the rifle known as the M1 Garand, the primary battle rifle of the US throughout both WWII and Korea. On the consumer market Garands have already begun to rise in price, but what many people don’t know is that the US Government, or rather a quasi-governmental non-profit corporation who took it over from the US Army in 1996 called the Civilian Marksmanship Program, or CMP, is currently selling off what are probably the last batch of government Garands to the public. All you have to do is apply, supply the required documents, pay, and you can have a certified authentic M1 Garand shipped right to your door, in most states.

Blake Shelton to Quit "The Voice" Over NBC Remington Hit Piece?

Blake Shelton to Quit “The Voice” Over NBC Remington Hit Piece?

Don’t worry, Blake Shelton isn’t quitting “The Voice on NBC.” That was just to get you to click this and read it. He should though, if he really believes in “representing country values” that he so lectured his contestant ReaLynn this past week. And for everyone reading this, and even those who didn’t click on it, we should all boycott “The Voice” and everything else on NBC until they issue a public apology to Remington. But like Blake Shelton, we won’t. All of us love guns, we love shooting, and we are proud to support the 2nd Amendment, but we really won’t pull the plug on things we like in protest of a perverted hit piece on Remington that was created to attack our gun industry and our 2nd Amendment freedom.

Ruger .22 Package Giveaway – 10/22 Takedown & 22/45 Lite

{ 90 comments }

As a nice end to the NRA show this weekend, Ruger Firearms has offered to run a special post-show giveaway for their two news guns announced for the show, the 10/22 Takedown and the all new 22/45 Lite Mark III. As you may already know, Ruger has passed their original goal of 1,000,000 guns between last year’s NRA show and this one. It has been a company dream since the days of Bill Ruger, and they TOTALLY BLEW IT OUT OF THE WATER! I don’t know what the final number worked out to be, but the latest goal was 1.2 million, and the NRA gets one dollar for each of those guns, which ads up to a huge donation for the NRA of well over $1,000,000.

The NRA Annual Meeting & Exhibits is this weekend in St. Louis. It starts today, April 12th, and goes through the weekend. If you are an NRA member you can go to the show for free. If you aren’t an NRA member, please consider JOINING NRA now. No matter what candidate gets in this year at this point we are going to have a tough 4 years ahead and NRA is the only organization that consistently is watching the ship.

As is our custom, we are doing a big giveaway for the weekend. This is our biggest yet actually. Because of the issues with spam filters and a ridiculous delay on all of our communications by AOL, Yahoo and many cable internet providers, we have to do the announcements for the giveaway through Facebook. As with all of our Facebook giveaways, you don’t have to be a member of Facebook to get the codes. It just makes it easier. The codes will be posted to our public Facebook page throughout the show. The process is the same as the others. We will post a code and you use standard email to send it to [email protected] (not case sensitive) to enter.

GunStock - 3 Day Event - Gun Club of America

GunStock – 3 Day Event – Gun Club of America

{ 2 comments }

If you are serious about guns and learning how they work inside, the Gun Club of America (GCA) may be something you should consider. It is run by the American Gunsmithing Institute (AGI), and for three days in June, the 15th to the 17th, they are going to have their first “GunStock” event ever in Fallon, Nevada. It is a chance for students to meet the instructors that appear in the AGI videos, and learn about a bunch of new subjects. Most importantly, you get to shoot OPG and OPA, “other people’s guns,” and “other people’s ammo.” For members of the GCA the rates for the event are discounted through April 25th, and besides being a great learning experience and a lot of fun, part of the proceeds will be donated to a veterans charity called The Pathway Home.
