An NRA-backed permitless carry bill is on its way to the desk of Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback after both the state House and Senate approved the legislation on Wednesday.

West Virginia Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin vetoed a Constitutional carry bill on Friday, citing concerns over public safety.

“The Second Amendment says that we have a right that’s God-given to us to defend ourselves,” said Arizona state Rep. Eddie Farnsworth.

“I have always supported a West Virginian’s right to bear arms,” Manchin said in a statement last week. “Senate Bill 347 would allow a person to carry a concealed gun without a permit or requirement of safety training and that is irresponsible and dangerous to the people of West Virginia.”
