More than half of Washington state sheriffs are openly refusing to enforce the state’s new gun control measures unless they are ruled on by the courts.

Democrats in the U.S. Congress have re-introduced legislation that would ban Americans from importing, selling, manufacturing, transferring, or possessing all magazines capable of holding more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

Some wonder whether a prosecutor can just choose not to prosecute someone for violating a law that’s on the books.  The answer is: Yes, he can.

A freshman state representative in Connecticut introduced a bill this week that would raise the tax rate on ammunition in the state to 50 percent. Representative Jillian Gilchrest announced the proposal on Twitter, explaining that her legislation would raise the price of a $10 box of ammunition to $15. She hopes the tax hike will reduce crime in the state by limiting the “use” of ammunition in Connecticut.

Everytown for Gun Safety’s most recent report paints a stark picture of the “gun violence epidemic” in America. But like the gun-ban industry’s previous attempts at fearmongering, it includes every statistic but those that contradict its cause.

Last week, Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), along with Senators Ted Cruz (R-TX), John Cornyn (R-TX), Rand Paul (R-KY), James Risch (R-ID), and Mike Crapo (R-ID) introduced a bill that would eliminate the federal regulation of firearm sound suppressors.

Proving once again that the gun ban lobby will never, ever be satisfied, the New York state legislature just passed six additional restrictions to lawful gun ownership in the Empire State.

“I think this is a very unwise decision,” Glenn said.  “These are sworn police officers.  They are not security guards.  They have more training than Baltimore police.”

GOA along with the GOF are filing an appeal in the Tenth Circuit court that could have an effect on how the National Firearms Act is applied.
