Just because you can’t get to the range doesn’t mean you can’t practice your fundamentals.

Sig Sauer seems poised to take over the world these days. It seems like they have a winner in every market segment except kitchen sinks, and they are probably working on kitchen sinks right now. A huge win for Sig has been the MPX family of pistol caliber carbines, and this week we got our hands on one to test.

Anyone familiar with NightHawk Custom knows that they produce superlative guns. The workmanship, function, and accuracy are second to none. I just wish you could hold this 1911 in your hands. You can feel the difference between this pistol and a mass-produced pistol immediately.

I don’t envy the Aimpoint engineer who drew the Micro S-1 assignment. Developing a plug-and-play red dot for a wide variety of shotguns must have been a nightmare. Most shotguns aren’t designed with optics in mind. Fortunately for us, Aimpoint’s engineers figured it out.

Wingshooting is equal parts mechanics and voodoo; it’s one of the shooting arts that never really came naturally to me. But, I do enjoy hunting ruffed grouse and pheasants, and a fine shotgun. The Fausti Class LX in 28 gauge is not your average shotgun.

Federal introduced the new Edge TLR (Terminal Long Range) bullets in .308. The bullets are tipped with a hollow polymer shell that is supposed to shear off on impact, leaving a massive hollowpoint.

Camelbak has been in the military backpack game for quite a while and they do it better than most. It might not be the first name that comes to mind when you think tactical, but it should be.
