The Model 19 Carry Comp is just small enough that it could realistically be considered for daily concealed carry, yet it’s added weight and most of all, its ported barrel makes it a tame shooter, even when loaded for bear. That makes it a gun you’ll enjoy shooting and practicing with.

Mossberg’s New MC1 SC – Elmer Fudd Gets His CCW
Published: May 11, 2019 { 42 comments }Mention the name Mossberg to anyone at the range, and they will almost certainly have a mental image of a shotgun. Depending upon the individual, that image might be a long shotgun for hunting waterfowl or it might be the more tactical Model 500, but you can bet that mental image is not of a tiny polymer-framed 9mm handgun. That’s about to change!

First State to Ratify Constitution Now Wants to Abolish It: Anti-gun Bills Are Back in Delaware
Published: April 11, 2019 { 18 comments }Legislation like this is spreading from state to state, funded by Bloomberg and others like him. Your country is literally being bought and sold underneath you. Stop looking at the national level for threats to your freedom, because while you are, it is being taken from you by those in your own backyard.
Glock’s New G45 vs. Glock 19X – Review
Published: March 23, 2019 { 16 comments }I’m not a cop. Never been one. Never played one on TV. And while I fully understand why this new G45 model from Glock, dubbed their “Crossover” pistol, is exactly what some departments have wanted, and what I predict more and more will adopt, I think they’ve struck handgun gold here for the civilian market as well. This baby is a shooter!
Walther PPQ Q5 Match – Why This Polymer Wonder is Still Relevant
Published: March 16, 2019 { 9 comments }It was almost exactly five years ago that I wrote my first gun review for GunsAmerica (gently wipes away a tear…). It was the Walther PPQ M2 5” pistol, which was just new to the market at that time. When the work was finished and the article and video were published, I asked Walther if I could send them a check instead of returning the gun. That pistol has been my go-to match gun ever since, and it has many thousands of rounds through it.

Ruger LC9s Pro – Small Enough to Carry, Big Enough to Shoot
Published: February 28, 2018 { 34 comments }First and foremost, because it is small. Beyond small – it’s tiny. The LC9s Pro is what I would categorize as a micro-9. Its dimensions are literally just enough to handle the size of the cartridge and pressures created and nothing more. This makes the pistol incredibly concealable.
Ruger American Pistol: Compact & Ready for Carry — Full Review
Published: February 4, 2018 { 23 comments }Naming your latest handgun “The American Pistol” makes a pretty clear statement. Add to that the timing of the launch of this product line amidst the backdrop of a highly contentious Presidential campaign and a continuingly more divided American narrative, and it makes a loud and clear statement. Ruger is an American company that is dedicated to American values and to its American customers.
